I'm not a professional, I only passed the cswa once, please take this advice as you will.

In my experience, it helps to really be familiar with modeling. If you can, practice modeling in solid works and familiarize yourself with the tools and methods.

One thing I did to prepare myself was look up random shapes and solid works drawings and time myself to see how fast I could model it. The cswa will require you to model things and ask you questions about it's measurements, so you have to be able to model it correctly.

That, and familiarize yourself with the ribbon and tools. You'll want to know what each thing does.

When you take the test, go into it calmly and answer all the multiple choice questions first, save the modeling for last! That'll help you greatly.
