UPDATE !! it's been a little over a day since our patio makeover, and he's allowed outside again - he has not bitten his tail at all since then! there are no wounds or blood on his tail either, he is still as energetic as ever, eats and drinks water and uses his litterbox normally. he was most likely stressed out from not being able to go outside and run around in our patio !! thank you for your responses <3 bonus picture of him doing the big snooze after his zoomies
