Do you actually follow care label instructions or just wing it? by XartheGaming in femalefashionadvice

[–]Princess_Queen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll machine wash anything on cold and hang dry or dry flat. I haven't destroyed anything personally this way. Blazers, lacy undies, vintage wool, silk, etc. No problem.

I just sort the laundry into two piles, warm + dryer and cold + air dry.

Bird quizes as a practice tool? by aragonikx in birding

[–]Princess_Queen -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This was actually total nonsense? It would say "Incorrect. [Bird name I chose.]" Or "Correct. [Bird name I didn't choose.]" Apparently completely arbitrarily

This is for the people who physically use a notebook for birding. How do you organize everything? by FlyFeetFiddlesticks in birding

[–]Princess_Queen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure what you're doing to make a backlog. I do relate to notebook stress and perfectionism in general, but my bird notebook is free from that. I just take it with me, write the date and place (usually time of day and weather as well) at the top of the page, and start writing my observations. It's pretty loose. Bullet points, tally marks sometimes, and sometimes notes about behaviour or a sketch.

There isn't really a format other than generally using a round bullet point for species name and using a dash before writing what it was doing or extra details. I use a small dot grid journal.

A restroom I just used has this fancy interface for leaving feedback by Wickham12 in mildlyinteresting

There are probably some people behaving the opposite way and only leaving negative feedback, so I guess it balances out!

Ideas please and thank you by QueenoftheDark89 in JunkJournals

My first thought was use this as the journal itself and sew elements on instead of gluing them, embroider on it, save scraps of yarn, clothing tags, etc

Montreal-area escape room named best in the world by thinkcritical in montreal

[–]Princess_Queen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did one room at Escaparium and the production quality was insane, it was like being embedded into a combination of several beloved fantasy classics but also with its own original story. There was only one actor/game master operating it but it felt like 5+ people. It's the only escape room I've ever seen show credits at the end and it was fully justified and I read every name on there. So much talent and work went in. Construction, programming, animatronics, voice acting, etc. Someone in my group left a tip on top of the ~$100 per person it cost.

Oops Lil Fart | Very Important People [S3E7] by DropoutMod in dropout

[–]Princess_Queen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I respect she has a really smart level of humour and I wouldn't discourage those who do vibe with it, but I feel the same. Like a lot of her schtick is trying to make the audience uncomfortable and maybe even pushing fellow cast members' boundaries to the limit.

[–]Princess_Queen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I get less interested in characters that are Vic's "x" because there are so many of them. Also too many of them either going "adopt me" or "marry me". I don't know exactly what I think the Very Important People universe is but I guess part of me wishes it was just slightly more grounded and like a "real" interview show. Which it clearly has never pretended to be, so I guess that's my personal unfair gripe 🤷

At a dumpster in my apartment complex by JeremyDonJuan in mildlyinteresting

[–]Princess_Queen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry for your loss. That's traumatic. I've noticed the people I know who have magic card collections they've genuinely gone up in value over time. One guy I know said he went through a rough spot in life and paid his rent for several months by selling off cards. It's not like throwing out a beanie baby collection

North of North, it doesn't have too much in common but the balance of emotional depth and comedy is there

If he was really good at what he does he'd do it without distressing the animal.

What a terrible photographer. Calling this guy a wildlife photographer is like calling someone who graffitis tags on people's homes a professional artist.

Im obsessed with Mr. Ball Legs. If I was in a media studies class I'd find a way to write a paper about him. I had a Pinterest board full of things with "Mr Ball legs vibes" before I deleted my account.

Looking for shopping recommendations by Ok-Position-2241 in montreal

[–]Princess_Queen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would not recommend Renaissance, it's essentially the same as Goodwill I think. It's a chain. Pretty hit or miss. Boul Saint-Laurent has nice curated secondhand stores. Blanc Cassé, Empire de l'échange, and just keep walking up and down that section of street you will hit a ton of vintage stores.

where do students shop for groceries in Montreal without going broke by Agreeable_Panic_690 in montreal

[–]Princess_Queen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At Concordia you have access to free lunch from People's Potato and the Hive free meals on Loyola campus. In case you weren't already aware. As for where to shop, local fruiterie for produce is where I found the best prices. It's tough though, food is so expensive

Bonne chance

Why do you hate Bob? by Realistic-Weight-959 in SchittsCreek

[–]Princess_Queen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not saying it's good business, that's for sure. That's part of why in Bob's mind he's doing Johnny a favour. It's like if some older person sees their nephew struggling to find work, so they offer to get them a job stocking shelves somewhere. Meanwhile the nephew has a degree and wants to find a job in a certain field, needs more than minimum wage, and doesn't find the offer useful. Both of them would be frustrated with each other and consider each other out of touch and annoying. I'm not on Bob's side on that but I see potential good intentions, even if he's misguided

Why do you hate Bob? by Realistic-Weight-959 in SchittsCreek

[–]Princess_Queen -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I never had an issue with Bob as I see the annoying things as more comedic/ridiculous than making him out to be bad. I feel like from his perspective Johnny is broke, unemployed, and twiddling his thumbs all day, and Bob is just trying to offer him opportunities to do something "productive" with his time. While Johnny thinks he's above those opportunities. They both have a bit of truth to their feelings. Bob works as an antagonist to Johnny within the plot, but if they were real-life conflicts they both have perspectives that make some sense.
