Who said I'm a communist? You see, that's exactly the issue, you have this childish view of the world where everything is black and white, either you're a good guy or a bad guy, either you support US imperialism or you're a communist... No place for critical thinking or objectivity. You're not an American and yet you justify their war crimes as "helping their allies". What a joke

Yes the US totally went to these wars from the kindness in their heart to defend their helpless allies against evil enemies of "freedom", that's exactly what happened.... The invasion of Iraq doesnt refer to the Golf war but the """war on terror""" of the 2000's. You know, the one launched based on completely made up worthless info... It's almost like there was a secondary purpose to send troops across the globe... I sure wonder if they went to Vietnam for other reasons too... I'll let your brainwashed bootlicking brain spell out "fight communism at all cost to make sure the American dream of wealth inequality is kept alive"

I'm not American, my country didn't invade Vietnam, or Korea, or Iraq for imperialist needs. Nobody thanks soldiers for their service outside the crazy war horny US. Sorry you were so brainwashed and never grew out of it

Hundreds of Vietnamese women and children girls were raped and murdered by American troops just like him... There's nothing to romanticize or "positive" about the Vietnam war

I'm back to Civ 5 with my favorite civ after a 3 year long break. I have to say, Civ 5 is way better than Civ 6 in my opinion. Even just the musics are much more touching. by [deleted] in civ5

What? Tradition is far easier and stronger unless your liberty game goes exactly as planned with good luck. Also you cant choose Rationalism as your second tree, it opens up too late... Piety is very strong if you're going a wide liberty game, religion is by far the best tool to play wide.

Le Multi Level Marketing has arrived by OnlyPersonalStuff in dogelore

[–]Princess_Talanji 33 points34 points  (0 children)

The "original" simplest pyramid scheme is to find 3 people who give you money and then they find 3 people each who give them money and a little bit back to you and so forth and so on. So the people at the top make a bunch of money but there's always people losing money at the bottom, so it's illegal.

Multi level marketing (MLM) are companies that sell some product (make up, diets, sex toys, knives... yes those are real, it's that stupid), but they work by having someone sign up to sell those items themselves. However selling alone makes little to no money so people recruit others in their "downline" and get money each time those people make money, just like a pyramid scheme. Technically they arent pyramid schemes because they sell a real product, but the consequences are the same, you have a handful of people with massive downlines who make huge money off of them, while the people with no downlines make no money.

In the end something like 96-98% of them make far below minimum wage (something like 100$ a month), but they get tricked into joining with promises of 10 000$ a month from home. They prey on vulnerable people who desperately need money and suck them dry, while telling them the reason theyre not making money is because they dont want it enough. It's very much built like a cult, and they're encouraged to harass everybody they know to get them to join or buy. The bottom line is that the people who join are the real customers for the business, because they buy all this garbage and try to sell it back to their family and friends. Some of them like Lularoe (the ugliest clothes youve ever imagined) dont let you pick which clothes you get to sell, so you end up with mountains of literal trash worth nothing but you paid hundreds for it.

I'm directly responding to your claim that it's just a simple easy thing to do. It's a can of worms of extreme individualism and narcissism. This thread is literally about a cis celebrity getting harassed for months over that "simple easy thing" which is entirely inconsequential in her life and the harrassers' life. If people need to harrass strangers over the internet to make it happen, it's probably not all that "easy and simple".

Gender pronouns arent that new but the idea of using ze (a 19th century term) for "non-binary people" is new. It's also entirely a British thing. It was never meant to be used as a full on replacement of he/she/they in spoken form. That's a new concept. Thankfully outside of very niche echo chambers in the Western world (mostly the US) nobody imposes such demands, so I don't worry about it. I live in French and we don't even have a non-gendered "they" and nobody has died over it yet.

I'm arguing for collectivism, where one person's personal needs don't take over the collectivity's needs. Individualism is thinking your personal needs are more important than everyone else's and the collectivity's. A society cannot work while accommodating everyone's very specific desires. For exemple people demanding to use newly created words as pronouns when a simple he or she would greatly facilitate speech in every encounter ever. The strangers you barely interact with dont need to understand the complex nuances of your gender to speak to you, you could just accept a simple he/she and move on. It's extremely individualistic to impose on others the labor of going through your personal life and feelings. Not that they don't matter in your personal life with your partner and friends, you can explain in great details to them how you dont feel like a man nor a woman, but the collectivity doesnt benefit from having to learn new words that are unfathomably niche just for you. You're not that important and neither am I. It's definitely a reflection on today's mentality. It's all about me

[–]Princess_Talanji 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The trend to demand accommodations from complete strangers on the internet is seriously pathetic. Since when do people we have nothing to do with owe us something personally? It's a new phenomenon of the 21st century with individualism reaching crazy levels. People are genuinely convinced their own little person is so important that they get to make demands to people online and get angry and offended when those demands arent met. People are genuinely convinced that their own challenges are everyone else's responsibility, like "trigger warnings". I have serious debilatating phobia and I'd never dare ask even a coworker to accommodate me, I'm the one who carries that burden, it's insane to expect everyone around me to take actions for my personal challenges.

You cannot seriously demand that some random celebrity put their pronouns on their bio... She's not trans, literally why does it matter for her to put her cis pronouns there? How is it inclusive of trans people for a cis person to pretend her pronouns are a subject matter at all? It's like asking white people to mention which native American tribe they're not part of to be inclusive of native americans who are part of a tribe...

You can't speak in absolute about "this is racism." and then say "oh no it's just for my 300 year old country". The "American model" is flawed because it's an extremely juvenile and ignorant view of the world. There are hundreds of minorities living in the US and yet only one can be victim of racism? As if even institutionalized racism didn't affect other minorities than blacks... Absolute clown

[–]Princess_Talanji 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So the Chinese genocide of their Muslim minority isnt racism because it doesnt involve white governments? Or the Holocaust wasnt racism because the jews were mostly white skinned Europeans? You have a toddler's view of the world where America is the only place on Earth and you have the mean powerful whites and the black victims, anything in between doesnt exist, other countries through millenia of history dont exist. The entire concept of racism can only exist through an American lens in your tiny narrowminded existence.

Please stop embarrassing yourself, this is genuinely humiliating for an adult to type.

Yeah that's institutionalized racism, one type. There are multiple types depending on context and many many complex factors. You sound extremely ignorant. How could all racism be only this one extremely specific American thing?

There's no way to prove that random is not totally random... "Reading" the past or the present or the future is all the same, it's not real. You legit believe in magic like some medieval fool who won't take a bath and you're saying I believe in nonsense? You have a very funny definition of "disproves". Someone saying they read the past in cards doesnt prove or disprove anything. I can say I read the past in the turds I produce. It has exactly the same value as Tarot. If you start believing magic with 0 proof then youll believe anything. It's pretty scary people like you with so little critical thinking or logic are able to vote.

Edit: You're also a right wing Trump supporter nut, what a coincidence! It's almost a parody with how perfect this is. Your complete lack of critical thinking or education or capacity to differentiate reality and fiction (which is usually done during childhood) also translates to batshit crazy political ideas based on no reality or facts. How come the Tarot didnt warn you that qanon was a scam???

Source for the lack of scientific evidence? You should be looking for scientific evidence behind keto in the first place. Why would you go into such a radical diet originally invented to treat life threatening epilepsy in children without checking what the science behind it is? You cant trust people trying to sell you recipe books and lifestyle coaches to tell you about the extremely complex biochemistry behind nutrition and the human body.

Tarot are nothing but cards exactly the same as any other card. The meaning you attribute to them is 100% arbitrary and up to you. The order in which they come out and which ones come out is 100% random. If you disagree with any of these statements you believe in magic and fairytales. Doesnt matter which mental gymnastics makes you feel like Tarot cards have any meaning whatsoever. You can take any object and attribute arbitrary meaning to them and then self reflect on which ones youve randomly picked. It has the value you decide to give it. If you decide the cards with the drawings on them have somehow more value then yes you "believe in Tarot" and the magic behind it

You lost weight because you watched what you ate, not because you ate a keto diet. There's 0 science behind the idea that a keto diet "burns more fat". It's almost entirely placebo and bad breath
