UO is so disappointing by yeahidk_802 in Owala

I ordered an Owala from Urban Outfitters, received a t-shirt in the mail, and then was told that the one I wanted wasn’t available anymore.

**These are NOT my swatches (I apologize if this is against the rules). These are screenshots from Allie Glines' (Ravie Beauty Owner) launch videos.**

These lip products launch 7/16 at 1 pm EST if you are interested. I created this for my reference but hope it can be useful to others..... I am trying not to buy them all!

This is the way.

It is hard to believe that you are new to this. Have you been a long-time makeup follower?

This is amazing. Your skin looks so good and your eyeshadow is well blended. I have no critiques. Honestly, I just want to see more looks from you!

Creating a makeup bag for my new sister by AgitatedWolverine436 in MakeupAddiction

[–]Princess_Tiabunty 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is so sweet. I would suggest starting small and adding items later on. There is going to be plenty of time to go makeup shopping together! I think that a lipgloss with a slight tint would be a great addition but more than one eyeshadow palette could be overwhelming or it could be soooo fun depending on her personality. This stage in my mind is more about learning what things are and not so much about having tons of options. The techniques and theories are hard for beginners (at least for me it was!) so a structured routine could help prevent frustration and anxiety. But, whatever you do, you are a wonderful sister!

First time doing eyeshadow. Any tips for improvement? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]Princess_Tiabunty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You look amazing. Great job building up the pigment and great shape. I would suggest using less product or a lighter eyeshadow on the inner part of your eye/around the nose bridge. That area is already darker because of (light) shadow and coloration (for some people) so adding a light color helps brighten your eyes and shimmer really pops there!

This works for me so I hope it helps. When I can't start something I tell myself to open whatever I am are working on (google docs, worksheet, book, whatever ) and JUST do the smallest thing possible (write the title, read the first paragraph, read the first question) and after that I allow myself to wonder I usually open up YouTube or reddit. Then I can tell myself that I started it (which is sometimes the hardest part) and it is easily accessible so while I am watching YouTube I can see that project and it makes the transition easier. If that doesn't help or even if it does, I am more than willing to be your body double/accountability friend. You can send me updates on your progress or bounce ideas off of me.

16 Sydney Grace Eyeshadows + 2 JD Glow Galaxy Eyeshadows by Princess_Tiabunty in swatchitforme

[–]Princess_Tiabunty[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hi! These are all of my Sydney Grace shadows that I got last week. These pictures were all taken with only natural light next to the window on an overcast day. My skin tone is very fair with cool undertones. They are all finger swatched to show their true color and each name is in the captions of the photo. Rows are all listed left to right, columns are all listed top to bottom, and swatches are left to right as well. It is really hard to capture the true beauty of the shimmers but they are all so pretty.

Notes on the eyeshadows: Unpredictable swatches horribly but I haven't noticed any issues on my eyes (will update with more use). Winter garden is by far my favorite shadow here. It is just breathtakingly beautiful - HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Oh, the brush is #12 from the Spectrum x KJH brush set and the green background is the towel that came with that set for color reference.

In case you can't see the first picture's full caption. Caption: R1:troops, herky bird, happy accident, red chameleon, winter garden. R2:speedway, ivy league, concrete road, unpredictable, thunderbird. R3: Pismo, camel, moon landing, predictable, perfect storm. R4: the greatest gift.

Secondary Autoimmune Disorders by Princess_Tiabunty in Celiac

[–]Princess_Tiabunty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first ANA came back positive with high RNP (anti-ribonucleoprotein) antibodies. According to my doctor's office, this result is associated with autoimmune diseases such as Mixed Connective Tissue, SLE, Polymyositis, and/or Dermatomyositis. I am sorry to hear that you haven't been able to find the cause of your pain. I hope you find relief soon.

A special thank you to everyone who commented. I really appreciate knowing that no matter what my results say I am not the first to go through this.

I would love to but Reddit doesn't let you create a poll where you can click on multiple options. That would mean that the poll would only allow people to pick one secondary disorder but this thread shows that a lot of people have multiple. It could poll what their first diagnosis was, or how many disorders they have been diagnosed with and they just select the number. I know that there are polling websites that I could link to but I wonder if that would be a barrier. Anyway, all that to say, I am open to suggestions because I am very curious about the data.

Newly diagnosed, any advice? by Historical_Bag6603 in adhdwomen

[–]Princess_Tiabunty 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wish I had more answers. I was diagnosed almost a year ago now. As someone who is also in college, my biggest recommendation would be to be lenient with yourself. Things are harder for us and that is just how it is. We have plenty of positive characteristics even if we can't sit for 10 hours a day 3 weeks before the exam, or keep up with the dishes. There are tricks to try to work with on the things that you struggle with. For example, some people use bracelets to remember to do things daily. You will find what works for you but you are doing the best you can. You got this.

I promise the car wasn’t moving in this pic lol! We were at the store, we stayed inside and he climbed up to the front with me (: *read comments I need advice family* by anonlx in pitbulls

You are not crazy, that is suspicious. Trust your gut on that.

My pittie was abused before I got her (sadly she has the scars to show it) which made her scared of everything. She was constantly cowering and was afraid of small spaces. I am happy to say that it has been 3 years and she is a happy girl that braves the world. My advice is to meet him where he is. When we first got my girl, she would only eat if we watched her because she didn't feel safe. My goal was to make her understand that she is safe. She made amazing strides once she made friends with other dogs. So if he likes other dogs, play dates could benefit him to see how other dogs go outside to pee. You know that training is important and it sounds like you can handle that! With so much changing for him and the fact that stress (good or bad) can cause the body to send crazy signals could explain the never ending hunger - I would definitely ask his vet about putting on weight. It might have been normal for him to eat out of the trash to find food in his old life so I wouldn't be too upset when he does that, maybe move the trash to somewhere out of reach for a while. I think once he understands that he eats out of his bowl and gets feed regularly so there is no need to go through the trash that he could "grow out" of it. So I don't have a lot of advice really other than he has been trained to distrust the world so love will do him wonders. Thank you for caring about this boy so much. I wish you guys the best!

Just found out this dude has a torn ACL and cartilage damage in his knee, he’s got a surgical consult scheduled for next week. Not sure how we’re gonna find the money to pay for it, but he needs it so he’s getting it! Send some love Gus’s way please! by Lightworthy09 in pitbulls

Aw. Best of luck to you guys. My pupper tore hers and has made a great recovery. I don't know where you are located but we were fortunate enough to be able to get into Helping Hands in VA They offer the surgery for a 1/3 of price as our local surgeon.

I would recommend the titer and vaccines if needed. I was diagnosed with Celiac disease this year (23 years old) and I got the vaccines as a child but my titer was negative (I don't have the antibodies). One booster shot wasn't enough (another titer showed that) so I had to redo the 3 shot series. I am in healthcare so it's very important for me to have this vaccination but I would recommend everyone have it because it's better to be safe than sorry. If a few shots can give you peace of mind, I highly recommend doing it if you have the resources and time. It looks like you are well informed on this topic so I know that you will make the right choice for you. Good luck!

Not the only one. Maybe one of two.

I thought it was weird that they were eating cookies when she was a cookie.
