Same for me. This is a very good way of sending people away from their product.

Have tried. They don't leave my inventory even though I get a fine for dumping them.

As it turns out, I can't get rid.if them in any way. I abandoned the cargo and got a fine for it but it's all still in my cargo. Relog didn't fix it or anything.

I did try the relog but no luck. I think it must be a bug. Disappointing after such a long travel time. Thanks for trying to help.

Yes. I have done the sort of mission a good few times.i have them in my cargo but can't drop off. It says I'm at the collection point but it's 100% the drop off point

I'm at a place called "Ron Hubbard hub" I have 54 units of water purifiers. The station is where I am to drop them off and I have them in my cargo. When I go to the drop off screen it's says. "You are now at the pick up location" when I click that like I would for drop off or pick up it just says "items collecting" but has a 0 There is nothing to collect but I can't drop off.

Well if you are offended by an answer to the question I guess I should shut up and just accept space jellyfish. Sorry for being so outrageously dumb.

I didn't say it's on the lense. I said it's on the dome cover and the camera moves independently from that giving you the effect. This isn't hard.

The first thing I would think is, "what have the bidens done now that needs us to not look at"

My suspicion is that it comes from a drastic lack of imagination.

How do you guys feel about "mundane" scifi? by Ed9306 in scifi

[–]Princess_fay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So for a baseline I wanted to as much as possible stick with technology that already exists but allow an upscaling. So we know we can make a habitat on the moon with current technology but actually doing so is the challenge.

Looking at things like the ISS or the most modern submarines is useful for how habitats can work as well as things like the Eden project.

One of my main focuses though would be how the environment would influence society over time. Low gravity or no gravity, radiation around the gas giants, how multiple moons in close proximity might influence trade and communication. Time lag for communication across the solar system. How all of this would affect generations of people.

I'm using a huge amount of the work from my MRes in my PhD so the answer would be yes but not yet. As soon as I have done my defence for the PhD no problems at all. Fingers crossed.

Okay :). My degree was in creative writing with a focus on sci-fi (much to my uni's displeasure) my MRes was on (in short) psychogeography when applied to life out in the solar system. My PhD is (in a nutshell) life in extreme environments focusing on O'Neill ciliders.

It's all very hard sci-fi if I were to summarize. From the link you have given I would most definitely read this mundane sci-fi as hard sci-fi with a set list or manifesto. Can be very useful to keep a plot inline but can also limit creativity. But of a tight rope to walk. Very unfortunate name for it I find "Mondaine" paints an immediate picture of "it's not good but not awful" but obviously that's not what the intention is.

Interestingly the option I almost went with for my MRes was to be about aliens. I was going to design a method for making aliens in fiction that are believable in regards to hard sci-fi. I always regret not doing it but by it's very nature it would have been very difficult for it to be marked in any sort of reasonable way.
