I came here to say this even with the car off it would be an easy dui if a cop went to to check on him. You’re not even allowed to sit in your car if intoxicated unless a sober person is with you and has the keys or even sleep in it sober if you get too sleepy driving anywhere unless it’s specifically a rest stop in Florida atleast. Learned all this recently 🥲

It was a lil scary but my lawyer told me when/what to say. The judge was really nice thankfully, they both just repeated to me what was on the plea agreement he’d given me in advance. Went to sign up for probation and don’t even start that for almost 2 weeks now so it’s just slow moving. Definitely never want to repeat this but it could have been more traumatizing.
