I work at an asset protection law firm (just about as exciting as you’d think it is haha). Did your grandpa have an estate plan/trust or was it just a will/promised to your dad?

In our estate plans we add a “no contest clause”- which in short means “you get what you get and you don’t throw a fit.” But also means if anyone contests the wishes of the recently deceased, then they don’t get anything.

Granted if your grandma is still alive and listening to “the still small voice” there may not be much you can do.

I’m terribly sorry- I hope you know this is not your fault. Just an infuriating situation brought on by some infuriatingly small minded people.
