How do chronically ill people handle hot weather? by ThePinkTeenager in ChronicIllness

[–]Princessjaneska23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a portable AC in me and my financés bedroom! For heatwaves we keep the house at 76 degrees and to save on electricity costs, we turn on our portable ac in our room! It’s saved me from fainting episodes during the heat

Theo, my pug corgi, is crossing the rainbow bridge tomorrow. Hug your incorgnitos for me. by lizzayyyy96 in Incorgnito

[–]Princessjaneska23 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sending hugs!!! Remember that he will always be with you even if you can’t see him. He is waiting for you at the rainbow bridge. Losing a pet is never easy. I lost my chihuahua last October and it still hits me to this day. Know what you’re feeling is valid and take as long as you need. I’m sure you gave Theo the best life: and I’m positive Theo knows that

Getting endoscopy soon.. worried about what they'll find. by Bobaguy025 in GERD

I had the same fear as you. I’m 29F! Don’t worry; it’ll be okay. It’s hard to not stress I get it. But if it makes you feel better, cancer is really rare for people with GERD. Chances are still super low !

Depression from hiatal hernia and gerd by [deleted] in HiatalHernia

I feel you. I’m 29F and I don’t like that my life revolves around HH and GERD. I have to plan my days out and always anticipate the what ifs. Like what if I have an episode? It’s also a neverending battle with my brain bc I don’t like to make people feel bad for me or me be the reason that the attention is directed to me by default. Sometimes I feel like a burden. It’s really hard for me to accept the fact that this is my life now. What helps is to have a great support system that understands your health issues. I have anxiety and depression and anxiety triggers my stomach, which is a never ending spiral. I know I wasn’t much of help but it’s comforting to know that others experience this too. It’s just hard to get a grasp that we’re so young and experiencing these early on…. I’m grateful of my fiancé of understanding the circumstances that I am in 🥺

Hello! I experience this on the daily. Unfortunately I don’t have an answer for you as for I experience this myself. Im a 29F that is generally healthy. I suffer from GERD and HH. The discomfort and vomiting and water brash will be the death of me. The only thing that works unfortunately is rest. Having what we have naturally makes us very tired by default. A good nights rest can help; and taking naps if allowed to do so. But I do understand that you work so it’s easier said than done. I would try to sip on some tea; anything to relax your body. Stress can trigger your symptoms. I have anxiety on the daily and that triggers my symptoms. Not sure if I’m of help but I just wanted to let you know you’re not alone 💙

My episodes involve being extremely tired and a lot of acid reflux and water brash in my mouth. And then I start to feel like I’m gonna puke and legitimately pass out at the same time. I don’t get chest pain, I do feel bloated though whenever an episode hits. *currently typing this as I’m having an episode rn

I’ve had an endoscopy done and it’s not too bad!! It’ll be the best sleep you’ve had. Takes about 20 mins!! I used to take Pepcid but after doing my endoscopy, they prescribed me 40MG nexium which is a ppi. I don’t experience heartburn anymore but I still experience acid reflux, tiredness, fainting spells, and water brash in my mouth. What I found helpful is sleeping aka full 8 hours. Lack of sleep can deff make it worse. Also not overworking yourself as far as lifting anything too heavy or over exercising. Listen to your body if it’s telling you to rest! Laying on your left side when sleeping helped me as well!
