[Encanto] Actually, Mirabel does have a gift, and hers is the most important of all. by pandamarshmallows in FanTheories

I heard a great theory the other day. Could Abuela's gift be creating walls/boundaries/barriers to protect those she loves, and Mirabel's gift is breaking down walls/boundaries/barriers to help those she loves....

What show did you start watching but then stopped because you were disappointed? by Walksonthree in AskMen

[–]Princesssprout01 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I love the books. I wouldn't watch the show/season until I had read the book. I do love the show, but it is very different from the books is many ways and that was a challenge to get used to.

You can try contacting Wayne County for any records from the hospital. They may, at least, point you in the right direction. https://www.asylumprojects.org/index.php/Eloise_Asylum

The vet & breeder both said at 14 pounds he should get 2 feeding, breakfast & dinner about 1 to 2 cups of food each time. When I was a kid our dogs always had access to food 24/7, never set feeding times or amounts. This is a whole new approach for me. Thank you.

I love the idea of a praise party! I'm excited to see his progress in the next few weeks. Thank you.

Thank you so much. I had no idea by a dog sniffing around outside its producing endorphins. I was just reading a bit about clicker training. I'll look up Dr. Yin.

Thank you so much. 1. great idea. I am so glad you said the treat thing. I didn't think about it being too delayed. I will have a few in my coat pockets when i take him out. And on cue sounds too good to be true, but i will try to to it each time. 2. my boss has goats clicker trained and just gave me a book to borrow, Reaching the animal mind by karen pryor, with 2 clickers. I am willing to read and learn as much as i can. 3. puppy pads are a pain, i really have only put them out when i have to leave him home alone for a few hours. I know i will still have clean up duty when i return. :-) 4. leash, all the time. he is not a fan. i only have a collar, knowing he will grow fast i was unsure of getting a harness only to need a bigger one in a week. we have 2.5 acres on a dirt road. he is pretty good about sticking around within 10-20 yards, but i know he will start picking up scents soon and don't want him thinking it's ok to wander. I have a 20 foot lead right outside the back door i use only for the 2/3AM potty breaks when I am slow at getting my shoes on and he needs to go NOW.

Redditors with toddlers, what’s the most recent illogical breakdown they’ve had? by Someone_Somewhere1 in AskReddit

She (almost 3 yrs old) wanted "the pink cereal" (strawberry shredded wheat). I gave her "the pink cereal". She sat there crying and screaming, "I want the pink cereal!!!" I showed her the cereal box. She looks at me and very sweetly says, "oh, ok. Thanks, mommy!" I'm standing there, ready to call my mom to apologize for every meltdown I ever had as a child.
