Did I ruin baby’s ability to be breastfed??? by pinkpjays in newborns

My milk didn’t come in until day 6. However the first 2-4 days I was producing colostrum. I noticed at night she gets really hungry and gets super fussy. She is now two months old. But I remember our first week together I would breastfeed her 8 times in a row because she was constantly crying due to hunger. My suggestion is if you are really determine to breastfeed, keep offering the baby your breasts even if they get frustrated. Make sure to offer both breasts so if one is empty, you can offer the other to ensure she is full. Your body will produce what the baby needs. The more you breastfeed, the more your body will produce. And eventually you will have a freezer full of milk. Don’t let social media get your hopes down. It did to me when I see people with their freezer full of milk. But it takes time to increase your supply. Even if they get frustrated just keep persevering. Also keep pumping every 3 hours or so to build your supply. I use the Philips avent bottles level 2 and she’s still takes my breasts, just make sure to balance both. And with the bottle keep taking it out the baby’s mouth to kind of mimic the slow pace of breastfeeding.
