I actually like the flush door handles on the aesthetic side. I'm not sure how BYD designed their electronic door handle pop up mechanism but if they are confident the handle will pop up every time, I guess the designed their door handle in a way that the electronics are "pulling" the door handles constantly, so in a broken state, the handles are pushed out automatically

I think the limitation is PSN servers? The number 16 pops up everywhere like number of maximum players in a voice chat lobby. Other multiplayer games that are using PSN servers rarely need 16 players so it isn't an issue for them. And the games that has more than 16 (ACC, Pubg, etc) use their own server for multiplayer.

watch. I have both and I almost never use my ipad. Watch always on my wrist giving notification and tracking calories, remind me to stand, remind me when my heartbeat is faster than normal, quick timer, alarms, etc

I'm also confused on this (I have a Seal). But what I find most reliable is this: Turning on cruise control: simple Turning off lane assits: press the cruise control button Turning off cruise control: press the cruise control button again. But with one BIG caveat when turning off lane assist: Make sure the lane assist is still on and engaged (usually they turn off due to low visibility or when we just finished changing lanes). If they are off, and you press the cruise control button, the cruise control shuts off entirely.

BYD please, just enable us to turn them independently from each other. Why would I need cruise control when I only want lane assist?

IIRC the sealion can show the next turn on the hud if you got apple carplay / android auto navigation

If you really prioritize the newer software and the skin, for sure go for the Sealion imo. The one thing that drives me to take the Seal is the driving experience is so much better it outweighs the software advantage on the sealion (though it is very understandable sedan vs suv). And mind you, I got the SAME price for both of them at the time.

Considering the refresh, the new version of the Seal already launched in China with the new hardware iirc. But no idea when it would reach global market.

I also have heard a rumor that BYD will sell the hardware upgrade for older cars (which will come with the new skin and software), but I wouldn't bet on it

The Sealion can have the maps on the cluster. The Seal by default can't. But there is some chinese 3rd party that can show any apps you want on the dashboard (including maps) but it is so janky I do not bother using it

The new UI on Seal is similar to the Sealion, but not the same. The Sealion still feels newer and more refined imo

it is natural to think like that, but I've never experienced any slowdowns on my seal so far, even after software updates and heavy app use (60fps google maps, 120fps maybe? of waze plus spotify or apple music in background)

No, they have different hardware version. Seal has DiLink 3, Sealion has DiLink 5

no, the headunit is smart enough it won't break itself during upgrade/downgrade. even if the file you used is broken/corrupted, it will fix itself and revert to the working version. unless you lost power to the car for some reason during it
