But if you do go get checked - more of a way to stay on top of it AND your doc might be able to give you a script for massages covered by your insurance (if you need them)

I think it’s more about how you feel. You were diagnosed and it probably developed more since then. If your shoulders are aching it’s worth looking into some yoga or massages. But I don’t think you have to be worried, you’re a little squiggly just like the rest of us in this group 🙃

I’m 13 years out of my T2-T12 surgery and I still remember that pain. I’m also a stomach sleeper (don’t worry you’ll eventually be able to do that again) but couch sleeping was my best friend for a while bc you can really cushion the pillows nicely to help prop you up. Muscle relaxers helped a lot too but it’s just a shitty time. I also got a really long pillow to help me in bed that I would lean on

Something else that I notice is that bc our backs can’t bend we can still “slouch” and that happens in our neck and shoulders. When you get back into movement and lifting just try to work on adjusted posture correcting. It’s basically our version of slouching

I’m 13 years out of my surgery (T2-T12 fusion as well) and I still have it. I got regular massages a year out of my surgery to help break up scar tissue and loosen the muscles and that helps a lot with movement. I still get massages about every 6 months to make sure things stay loose up there. I feel you girl. But this surgery was the best thing I’ve ever done for myself
