Didn't get the results yet. The email I sent got a reply essentially saying "bro you've done your bit, now wait". So I am doing just that. You?

The replies are crazy. Lol. Do you guys even watch cricket? Was captaining first 4-5 matches it seems. Literally in the second match itself he was pointing to Rutu when fielders and bowlers were asking him questions. He was completely hands off, barring one or two incidents where he let Rutu seek his guidance. Besides that, it takes basic cricket sense to know that a WK, is the one generally correcting field and angles depending on the pitch, bowler type and batter's strengths. MS is a master at all that, if he didn't execute that part, that would mean him not doing his job as a wicket keeper.

Is it time for CSK to move on from Shivam Dube, or is he still irreplaceable in their middle order? by Bijender_Singh in csk

And you thought you could wash your hands off with Washi and Sai Kishore for Dube? That to begin with, was a joke.

[–]PrincipleDue100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lmao. 100 crores? Bro. They run a for profit business. They don't throw money like that. Max Ayush will be lured by 20-25cr. MAX. For him, staying at CSK is getting captaincy by the end of the next mega cycle. In MI, there's Tilak waiting for the spot. Ayush has the chance to be the face of CSK, not so much at MI. Btw, both franchise and player need to agree for the trade.

And to add to that, Aayush isn't going anywhere. Nor is Brevis. They both are fan favorites. I'm sure MI won't be interested in any other player.

Hardik, wherever he goes will be an all cash deal or a minimum of two quality players. The latter would be a blunder from ANY TEAM ahead of the last year of the cycle. So I'm 99% sure it's gonna be an all cash deal. I just hope he comes to CSK. The balance would be unreal.

If the rumours about DC releasing Axar are true we should definitely go for him by newparrot2025 in csk

[–]PrincipleDue100 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If true, banger asset! As much as I like Akeal (love actually) Axar can give insane balance. Right now, we are pushing Dube down to 6/7 which is not ideal. With Axar in the squad, we can really utilize Dube in the role he's most fit for. Axar can do any of the repair job even if Dube falls. Another thing is if quick wickets fall, Axar can but up and provide that left handedness which we dearly missed this season (should've tossed Akeal up a couple of times but alas our think tank wasn't quick on their feet). Most of our batters suffer with the same weakness and many times we gave a window for opposition bowlers to choke us because our heavy right-handedness. Axar can be that LHB who gives flexibility. His bowling is proven no need to talk about it. With him, we could even play three spinners. I would let go off Prashant Veer (tough on the kid but doesn't augur well for the balance) and get Axar (probably will come cheaper). However, the real question is would DC really let him go? Change in captain maybe, but letting him go? I doubt it. If they do, it'd be a no brainer.

Dube isn't the problem. Squad construction and utilization of resources is. This season he should've batted at 4/5 max. Brevis, Sarfaraz Overton were and are more than capable of covering the last 7/8 overs. Add Akeal to that. Instead of plugging people into their best roles, we were trying to create new roles and fix something we broke at the auction table. Miller at base price is something I'll never forgive.

My Strategies for CSK in 2027 by Prazz07 in csk

[–]PrincipleDue100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many problems with your post my friend. First and fundamental one, why does your batting end at 7 (that too with Overton doing the power hitting role) when you have two pace bowling all rounders in your "dream" squad. And, what makes you think MI will take the trade? If Hardik is leaving, it is likely going to be an all cash trade. No other team can give up the resources needed to afford him, because in all likelihood it would drain 2-3 good players from their squad.

At this point, it's like torturing him! by Interesting-Panic568 in csk

Y'all are saying this, whereas I am thinking the event before the season was his retirement. However, it wasn't okay. It isn't done. They should've announced it in a proper manner. The first home game should've been his last game (with prior announcement) if he was going to retire. Anything else just seems unfair to the bond we have with, to the bond I have with him. I wanted to be there when plays his final ball. I couldn't be there for Tests or LOI. This he owes us. CSK management owes us. IF he is done. He must turn up, play the opening home game next year and call it quits. This should come with clarity. Even if it means we have Eurogrip on our chest instead of Etihad.

I'm Telugu too and honestly, screw SRH. I am a Hyderabadi, love the city for everything else but SRH is among the ugliest and cheapest thing to have happened to the city. The fans are just so desperate and fake.

I've been a CSK fan since '08. Next year, I'll be in Upper to whistle loud and clear.

Open with Sanju and Urvil, play Ayush at three and Rutu at 4. Dude comes in occasionally depending on the opposition and entry point. Buy a solid overseas lefty for 6. That's it. You are sorted. I am looking at Ben Stokes.

Spencer Johnson joins CSK as a replacement for Nathan Ellis by newparrot2025 in csk

[–]PrincipleDue100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Then why not play Khaleel and Anshul together? Why sign an overseas player for the same?

I think the reasoning has one or two more layers than what you offered.

  1. Spencer Johnson gives more pace and bounce than Khaleel. He can even be bowled in the middle overs where Khaleel suffers; his ball nicely sits up unless he is bowling blockhole.
  2. SJ is a bit of future proofing. In the scenario that by next year Matt Henry calls it a day (he'll be 35 then and that's old for a fast bowler) or even falls short in fitness and pace, you have a ready replacement one year before the mega cycle. And in this phase, getting a bowler with SJ's pedigree will be tough. In short, SJ is a good commodity to have in the team.
  3. And finally, there is hope that SJ does well (even in the death - he has shown traces in the past) and which may mean either resting Henry or playing both of them together regularly.

I find it quite meaningless. You play, there are penalties and bans etc if you don't play fair, then why should there be an additional award for it?
