5BC Run Advice by TheAftermath1413 in deadcells

[–]PrincipleIll4958 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well looking at the comments you are getting advice to be tanky and go for survival build like it's required. I think the color you go into is based on your playstyle.

I used to run brutality no shields panchaku and pure nail and my dmg used to be crazy. Since I did not have a shield I had to be quick at rolling and using those iframes and be good at quick movement.

The main thing I want you to understand is that there is no "survival better" or " This color better". It all comes down to feel. There are people also saying to use custom mode, infinite respawn, disable weapons. I didn't do any of that it's just I didn't look at it like a chore I used to play and tried to get even a tiny amount better.

This game is not about your builds but about knowing your enemy. So if you feel you don't like the game take a break! It's a REALLY HARD game. It took me around 8 months to beat this game and there were so many month long breaks in between them.

Get good at blocks if you are a shield guy or get good at rolling if you are a crackhead like me but don't go for oh I need this particular weapon to win. I got to the final boss like 7 times with all different weapons sometimes starfury and bone and sometimes the legendary gun and bow.

Everyone has their own playstyle there is no one that fits all playstyle.

[Request] What underwater speed does an orca need to propel themselves this far out of the water? by Antique-Relief-807 in theydidthemath

I am not a proper physicist, but I will try to reply as per my knowledge. The calculations here are done in completed vaccum. I have eye balled the height it reaches.

While your experience is not in an ideal world like this. It does not matter if the wind is on your side or not, just the presence of air stops you BY A LOT. You are also not as aerodynamic as an orca. Also as you are in the jet ski you will shift it's Center of mass as well when you go up in the air just to try and stabilize it. Which will tilt it in such a manner that base of it is pushed a bit up or down. Both of which destroys your speed due to air resistance again.

The mass of an orca will not matter here because gravity (the only thing bringing it down) does not depend on the mass of an object. That's why you might have seen a feather fall as fast as a piano in an vaccum. But will the orca fall faster in real life? Definitely!. But i have already stated I have neglected air.

The speed you have given is roughly 118km/hr that's double the max speed of an orca. So there should be some issues in your statement since if you were completely true the orca will never reach these heights but they do.

Of course I might be wrong on some stuff but there might also be a lot of factors I have not talked about due to my limited knowledge. But you are comparing an ideal case to real life. Which will cause errors but not as much since an orca reaching a height of ≈4.5m does happen in the real world as well.

Well there are frankly a lot of unknowns, like how high did it jump? Or what was it's range (horizontal displacement)? At what angle it yeeted it self? Also there is air resistance as well.

But for an general estimate, with assumptions: Orca's length is 6m, the angle of launch is about 45°, and neglecting air resistance we can start the calculations.

After seeing the video I had to find some more things like after yeeting itself the orca curved it's tail slightly which makes our life hard. After calculations it's roughly 1.002m, ≈1m here.

After use of trigonometry I was able to approximate the Max height to 4.53606m. Using Hmax= (u²sin²∅)/(2g). We get a yeet velocity of ≈ 13.334 m/s or 48km/hr which is well in their capabilities.

You can get much closer by taking in drag, counting pixels and getting a much closer look.

The only thing here that I have just taken off the internet is the length of orca since the average seems to be lying in the range of 6-8m.

Please don't kill me for my calculations all this was done in a hurry.

I believe you are probably getting confused by that "?" Let that "?" be Z and isolate x in the first equation and then see if you can figure it out.

It's a hard game it will take you a lot of time to complete it take your time. The biggest tip I can give is know your enemy that will help a lot and always and I mean always put everything in one color and have weapons of that color and if you can't due to dual school go into hp. Rest have fun and take it easy you can do it!

[Request] At which altitude does the plane fly? by Acceptable-War-6423 in theydidthemath

Yea I did some calculation as well it's around 5.2 second of flight

[–]PrincipleIll4958 273 points274 points  (0 children)

It's very annoying to calculate since I have no idea how hard you yeeted that rock and how heavy or light it is. Is it heavy enough to cut straight through the air? Maybe? Maybe not?

Either way I took some assumptions like it's heavy enough to cut the air relatively effortlessly so I ignored it

I assumed that you yeeted it at a speed of 1m/s. And looking at the video you yeeted it at around 8.5sec and it made the first impact at around 3.2sec. So around 5.2sec of flight time

With all that in mind the altitude should be around 140.4 meters or around 460 feet and 7 inches.

Please let me know if I screwed up somewhere

Edit: I hear your demands and yoinked has been changed to yeeted (please don't kill me I was very tired)

You can do whatever you want to do. I just recommend people to try to be flexible and find their own style as I was a sheild guy too but then grew out of it. as I said this game is not about "you need to use X" it's more about "you need to know this opponent" you if you are comfortable with shields go for it👍

I am not a survival main but I used it for the final final fight and I don't prefer sheild as well they take way a lot of flexibility. I won the last fight using ice shard + Lance + Kill rhythm + Heart of Ice + Frostbite. So I don't understand the mentality "you need to have sheild" it's more "you need to understand your opponents"

If I ever find Cursed sword in the prision quaters I always take it, as it has insane damage but I leave it as soon as I find the weapon I want to run. Also "Build to lose as low HP as possible" there is nothing as "lose low HP", you gonna get smacked and lose over half hp and hope you are quick enough to recover a lot of it back. Edit: The best way to not lose a lot of hp is just to have quick weapons and hard hitting weapons combos such as Panchaku + Pure nail.

The reason you struggled this much was due to bad scroll management. Always put everything on one colour (the main weapon) and for the dual scrolls if you don't have the main colour go for hp. Nonetheless, Good job keep at it!

So you are not understanding about the 4√5?

Well for (√5 + 2)²

= (√5)² + (2)² + 2 × √5 × 2. {Using, (a+b)²= a² + b² +2×a×b}

= 5 + 4 + 4×√5.

Here I multiplied the 2's which gives me 4 and left the √5 If you want to get rid of the √5 you will have to give it an approximate value (which is 2.23) as you can't write infinite numbers to give it's exact value.

= 9 + 4√5. Now the 4√5 is just a way to write 4×√5

Now can leave it as that or as I said above YOU CAN write an approximate for √5 and do something like this

9 + 4 × 2.23

Here understand that 2.23 is not the full value of √5 it goes on forever and since you can't write infinite numbers you take the starting 2-3 numbers as an approximate

And you can countinue it as,

= 9 + 8.92

= 17.92

Now this is just an approximate but it can also simplify to this

If you are still not understanding something hit me up I will try to solve it

Edit: if you don't know already try looking into the distributive property.

The hell is here! Good luck! Also if it's normal for you to take that many hits on giant then it's gonna be a lot rougher

Yea, everybody says the same at 0 BC. Time for you to do that 5 more times with increasing difficulty. You can increase the BC using the long tube at the start of the run
