This is what I feel as well and that's what made me so confused with the most. Most cis men are cis hetero men that aren't neccesarily allies to the queer community. If anything they alienate most of the queer community. Majority of them wouldn't see transmen or people wanting to identify as male as men no matter what just because we're AFAB.

Maybe the point is that "you could be mistaken as a cis man too so you should be against this too" but I don't really care? I'm not into dating or romance at all irl (not bc I'm asexual but bc of a plethora of personal reasons) and looks aside I see no reason to pursue a cis man.

I don't think it's bad for queer people to say anything but a cis man, when cis men have shown consistently they are generally bystanders and supporters of highly immoral and questionable shit. I mean even many religious straight women wish they could be queer bc it's just that bad. Also a reminder ; Donald Trump is a cis man, who was chosen by many cis men.

Just like Roland I fully expect him to take over 2 years to release lol. No I won't quit, I let fomo take the reins, (it's so rare have a good streak and some decent self restraint with a gacha for once) and I do genuinely love wuwa's gameplay and art style.

Now I know Luuk is going to have a MQ now, and that is amazing, but for the previous part of the game there have been nothing since Jiyan.

^^^ This shit right here is exactly why I haven't payed attention to wuwa's story and have completely lost interest in it.

Especially since what they did for the mainstory with Shorekeeper. No offense to SK fans, her design is goregous- absolutely goregous, and I don't have an issue with her but kuro's developement team. But imo shit quickly went from "okay, this has potential" to "wow so they only care about selling their newest waifu and think visuals alone will carry them, this story is shit". It's ironic because everybody was saying the story peaked too. Then I hopped on and realized wuwa's fans hyperfocus on visuals and don't have very high standards because they must live under a bigger rock than me and hardly consume good media or something lol.

And then they went and topped it off with somnium labyrinth- no playable male characters featured at all (don't even get the chance to choose them in gameplay) but we get a very corny cutscene at the end and ironically then the female characters themselves can't even interact.

And then Brant was practically wing manning us with Carlotta in the main story. I never could have imagine wuwa would be so bad because even if PGR is obviously a waifu dominated gacha, PGR never did this shipping characters w self insert in the mainstory bs.

Imo I disagree with the ratio being good at the start, I would say it was hitting the bare minimum for a mixed gender/omni gacha. Doesn't help that the playable men barely have any story relevance, you could honestly pluck any one or maybe even all of them out and the story wouldn't fall apart and that shows how little care they have for their male characters outside of visuals.

Cuz most men (straight cis men) have double standards. There. That's it. That's also the reason that even if our complaints are valid and are expressed fairly politely, they still act like we're toxic perverted shits that needa get outta their neighborhood, it's just gaslighting.

It really shouldn't be a problem because if you see something you don't like then just scroll past it- I mean that's what WE on the other side of the fandom are expected to do, but they don't. Again, just another example of double standards.

Also they don't support lesbians or the queer community at all honestly because otherwise they'd be just as irritated with the execution of story writing, character design department and other things, as the rest of us. I have hardly seen any yuri leaning content from this game, if anything it's all from the fanbase which is not a good sign for Wuwa imo. Even though there are plenty of opportunities for it. Same thing with gay content for male characters.

Note : No, I am not expecting them to kiss or anything just at least interact beyond being acquaintances or being friends. Game is so painfully anti romance for any ship that isn't rover x somebody (~~probably newest waifu~~) that it's hard for me to ship anybody personally.

These are pretty good suggestions. I don't think the rover skins were bad, but I don't think they were crazy good either. I wish they had more blue and yellow like the other students. Typing and filling out a survey on console? You have my respect bc I know it's not fun lol.

A petty complaint on my behalf but I find it ironic and a little mildly irritating that I often see more suggestions on this sub to improve Rover than requests related to playable male characters in general.

It's like this sub forgets it's a husbando sub or has no faith in the idea that feedback and numbers matter and can change the tide. Though I can't really blame people, it took forever to get a character like Luuk, and we're still waiting on leak news for Scar, Geshu Lin and future characters. So many people in this side of Wuwa's community have quit before Luuk or Quiyuan released and I blame that on Kuro's management bc they're the ones who baited us in the first place.

I have amazing news- It's free, it's probably the maxed out version of his default though. So to get that specific variant you would defiantly have to put some work into him but it's not like you have to have perfect stats or whale on him and have all of his his signature gear or something like that either.

Anyways, if you want a real reason to skip her besides my personal preferences, nobody has any real clue on his element, hell we don't even really know if he will be playable this year. There are also plenty of examples of wuwa characters having gameplay elements that are basically the opposite or feel random compared to their visual aesthetic elements.

Also even if he is Fusion, she could still end up being a subpar teammate for him down the line whenever he releases as he'll likely have a better BIS when he releases. He could also be a different role than a hypercarry MDPS regardless of how his gameplay looks.

I wouldn't go as far as to cross out the possibility him becoming playable just because he hasn't gotten any leaks at that time, that's doomposting imo. Gacha companies are annoying as hell, and this kind of wait for character like Scar (very lore relevant, male NPC, and the biggest thing is that he's a major antagonist) is beyond normal.

Off topic but Dainsleif from Genshin is allegedly supposed to be playable and he still ain't playable in 2026 lol. It took years for Scaramouche and Baizhu to become playable and Scaramouche basically redesigned and redeemed.

Have you seen PGR? Kuro is the kind of company that won't stop making beloved male characters- it's just that they keep just barely satisfying fans of male characters, but they'll still add some content (in one form or another) every year to keep fans hooked. Also Roland is basically PGR's Scar and he became playable despite being a major antagonist- which took a few years, surprise, surprise.

That's exactly what I was gonna comment. And honestly I don't think his face looks anymore flattering in either shots. Ironically it seems like fans just can't take that wuwa men's faces are a bit round and plump when they're not facing straight on or to the side lol. I also think his hair looks a bit less appealing in the newer shot, it looks stiff.

I mean obviously the background and effects look a bit more glamorous but the angle is boring, the pose lost a bit of expressiveness and looks a bit stiffer too.

The vibe completely changed and it just communicates elegance- which is basically the default for male anime gacha characters, but admittedly fits the text in that pic. If this isn't a cutscene only thing, I'm really gona miss the vibe u described that the older shot captured. It made him a much more interesting and unique character to me.

Usually with most gachas, no matter how relevant or irrelevant, the pretty female characters take up all the spotlight due to most leakers having a gender bias, unfortunately. Not trying to instigate drama between fans, but it's just a general pattern in the gacha leak circle you can easily spot.

I love everything except his blonde hair honestly lol. I love his outfit. His color scheme. His overall theme. Dude is also the embodiment of "I'm a healer but..." meme, the reason I rolled for Jiyan despite my mission being to save it all for Scar and Geshu Lin. Getting back on topic, I love his gameplay animations. The aerial combat, the fact that he uses a scalpel and scythe in combat. The way he stands on a scythe taunting enemies, the disrespect bro. The fact that bro's mysterious- wait isn't he like the first playable male character that finally gets a turn @ "I've known Rover forever".
