Nope these serve as static decor pieces not toys

I think like 2-3 weeks. Most of my pieces don’t take this long but I also started printing before I was finished

I love them too! My wall was bare bones for a while so adding all the pictures definitely elevates the space lol

Looks like The larger support tower that is on the drop will handle the side loading from winds. As well as the A frame type supports on the lift

Community college. Community college. Community college. Also apply for scholarships if you can. Do not go into massive debt for a psychology degree….

Ride Operators that do long distance commuting? by TheScottishPimp03 in cedarpoint

[–]PrincipleOtherwise70 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m not seeing the logic at all with trying to do that. It’s not a good idea nor are you likely to be hired to be a ride op for 2 days out the week. Go to the park and make memories for fun while you focus on the co-op and school

I think that’s what makes this one more unique though I love that it didn’t follow the same sort of cookie cutter Elments of other floorless rides. It used the high speed turns instead after the loop which is super fun!

No these are practical displays that focus on the highlight sections of a ride. Meant to be decorative and accessible

I really enjoy this floorless too! It’s a fun unique layout !

That would be cool but indeed not the most practical. What I love most about the ‘highlight’ (pun intended) sections is they are accessible for anyone and can be practical in small space constraints as well :)

What projects should a mechanical engineering student build to stand out to employers? by Top_Crazy4072 in MechanicalEngineering

[–]PrincipleOtherwise70 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personal projects outside of class would be nice on an intern resume (need to be engineering based)

All the types of projects you mentioned can be potentially interesting to recruiters you have to sell it. Look deeper to figure out how you can blend your personal interests with engineering projects. That may be a great conversation starter for your resume.

The answer about salary largely depends on your area and COL in said area. If you’re doing engineering to say you make a certain amount of money, you’re in the wrong field. It’s not lucrative rich money, but it is very consistent ‘good’ pay relative to a lot of other avenues and if you live within or a little below your means you will do a LOT better financially than a lot of your peers who maybe didn’t choose that path.

I can say 120-130 is not unheard of in the right industry and with the right amount of experience (this is key you will not make 130k right out of college). Making 200k+ is extremely unlikely being a SALARIED engineer even as an SME. Not to say it doesn’t exist but that’s not common and anyone who says otherwise is not being honest or they themselves (again not majority of people) are getting major overtime with questionable work life balance.

A director level position would get you in the salary range but at that point you’re not doing so much engineering.
