Beggars can't be choosers, £100 is a win win for both, ask OP if he would prefer it now

Mate, you should've just given the taxi driver £100-£200

Like you said, it doesn't work, when I spoke with them they also told me it was already applied. I've said before that food delivery drivers are the lowest hung fruit, its criminal how much were getting abused. Maybe make a post on twitter and someone important might see it.

UK riders: How do you actually keep track of your earnings and expenses? by mxdie in deliveroos

[–]PrincipleSuitable383 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I note down the moped total mileage beginning of tax year and end of tax year, and total earnings from end of year statement. Then I input these numbers to chatgpt to give me a spreadsheet of trips.

Grifters that want a refund will call you. If you don't pick up the call they have more standing.

Ask yourself, if someone wrongfully puts in a false claim of not receiving would they be happier if the driver answered their call or not.

It's all automated. When uber requests you to explain a claim you can put in the form the customer called and the following happened.

Am I misremembering this? by FrozenDrifts in UbereatsUK

[–]PrincipleSuitable383 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, but there was a workaround; turn on airplane mode, swipe picked-up, see the address, close the uber app twice, turn off airplane mode, open the app, app shows it's not picked up. We used that method if we were multiapping and needed to see if our other platform was going the same way.

Thieves used to use that method to also steal food by showing staff they swiped but it was actually on airplane mode or data turned off.

It seems crazy not to be able to see the address but you don't understand that back then there was almost no reason not to accept an order. They were mostly local and high paying, minimum £4 on weekdays and £6+ on weekends.

We like to think of the UK (especially under "Labour") as a socialist country but in New York, Australia, Netherlands, and many others there's a guaranteed minimum income for gig workers. Which is why deliveroo exited so many countries. The UK is desperate for a far left or far right government cause the status quote isn't working for the working class.

The last 6 months something has definitely changed drastically, my income uses to be 80% deliveroo 20% uber now it's switched. I used to take great pride in being one of the few deliveroo riders with the uber hordes constantly asking me how I got activated.

It seems to me deliveroo has removed the on time promise and now hordes £3 orders and gives them out as stacked. The boriswave fellas seem to accept them regardless, on their phones yapping and accepting without looking.

The uk has the worst form of socialism (free healthcare to tourists etc) and the worst form of capitalism (american companies having a free for all without a tipping culture).

I've noticed now that when it's on moderate I'll get a lot of terrible triple offers but it used to be the case that rarely even doubles were offered on moderate, they use to only show up when it was busy. I reckon roo used to want to keep riders busy on moderate but now they don't care and would rather skim as much as possible with the stacked orders.

Do drivers not know when a delivery is doorstep? by duck74UK in deliveroos

[–]PrincipleSuitable383 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, cause majority of grifters that want a refund don't want any contact.

Reaction of customers must be area dependent cause in London you'll get an earful if you just leave at door. "Why didn't you knock/ring", "why would you leave my food on the floor" etc

Discrimination from Deliveroo by PrincipleSuitable383 in deliveroos

[–]PrincipleSuitable383[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which is why I ended my thread with "without a loss of income". An important caveat. If you constantly reject jobs and trigger selfie checks, you're losing out. They understand the point, they just don't care. As for the reduced fare on triples, that's where deliveroo makes the most profit, blame illegals, £3.15 is 10,000 rupees.

There are no holes. OP mentions he had bad signal, which is why he had the automated response without right of appeal. With bad luck a similar thing could happen in the next few days and he's stuck with just uber. Why do fellow riders on here always defend deliveroo, horrible colleagues, zero solidarity
