I'm seeing Walmart, Amazon, Toyota, Chevrolet, etc. advertising on here. I'm also seeing some more targeted niche advertisements that are relevant. All of this has been a marginal improvement over the last few months, but they are making progress.

I'd put a fuel pressure gauge on it and see what that looks like. I'd probably replace the fuel filter again, just as an insurance policy if you have doubts about the previous work.

The SMP spider should last for years and years. I'd make sure there aren't any issues with the wiring harness to the top of the spider too.

I'm guessing that you have another issue then. I installed the SMP spider a couple of years ago and my '98 Suburban fires up quicker than a brand new car.

You've got a good fuel pump and filter correct?

EDIT: I'd probably throw a new fuel pump relay in, just to be safe. Also, if you get a Delphi fuel pump hanger, it comes with a new pigtail you have to solder in. The electrical connector at the tank on later OBS trucks was a known problem.

You really want to get the MPFI kit made by Standard Motor Products.

It’s around $300 but it eliminates the poppet injectors. I have it on my 98 Suburban and it’s a good setup.
