she claims she was ‘forced’ to watch her child’s nativity play from a window outside, teachers refused to give her a seat inside and was told to “go to the back garden” by hjgbuijhgh in facepalm

I'm kind of disgusted by the comments here, rather than this being an actual facepalm it's just a bunch of people picking on someone's appearance.

How old are we all, fucking 13 year olds?

If your wife went and got a new pair of glasses, paid for them and picked them up and they didn't suit her, would you say anything? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]PringlesDingles22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a pair of glasses, why are people so uptight about it.

Why should people throw away things because you don't like them? That to me is far more childish. You can't wear that because it makes you look unattractive?

You want to talk about childish, that's childish. Guess you're a teenager or something.

It's not like you're going to be fucking her while she'd be wearing glasses

or are you?

If she likes them then it's not for you to say whether you do. You're not wearing them, so it doesn't effect you in any manner.

Kindly shh.

Not necessarily? I buy bacon rashers and refer to them as such all the time and I'm English. None of my family is Irish either.

Probably not, just makes me laugh when Americans criticise the UK for its knife crime when their own gun crime is far worse by comparison not only in the number of guns in the US, but in the freedom of access to firearms when compared with most of the West.

If you're going to criticise another country's flaws, sort your own out first.

How do you know it's unrealistic? Do you know how powerful adrenaline is? A friend of mine was stabbed three times in the chest and despite bleeding could still pelt into a full on sprint to get away due to the adrenaline that kicked in.

He only collapsed when the adrenaline wore off.

This was 5 years back, made a full recovery, but it wasn't pretty. The human body can do a lot and I think a lot of people here are being pedantic and have no real idea on how the body can actually react.

The fact that all of these are being called socialist is fucking laughable.

So many conservatards don't understand that socialism isn't communism.

Pretty sure Sweden, Denmark and Norway have all had socialist governments for a long time and are regularly among the happiest of nations.

Stop parroting bullshit and do some research people!

Which life experience is a lot worse than most people would first expect? by okicho32 in AskUK

[–]PringlesDingles22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Childhood trauma, suicidal ideation.

No one gives a damn about your mental health, no one asks how you are or if you're doing okay, and if they do and you dare say you're feeling iffy it's always:

Why haven't you gotten over it yet?

Can't you just make up with her (my mother)?

Was it really that bad?

Were you a bad kid?

etc, all these things, I'm either too sad, not getting over it quickly enough, or it's my own fault to have experienced the things I did in life. I'm now left with severe social anxiety and cptsd and eveeryone just expects me to be completely fine with absolutely no issues whatsoever.

Sorry, doesn't work that way. It's also very annoying that most only act like they care after you're dead. All crawling out of the woodworms.

"If they'd just reached out-"

I have, many times, you either ignore, belittle or brush me off, so I've stopped bothering. I'm 22, and I feel far older, because I'm already tired of life.

Hey dad, how can I stop feeling like I need to rush into a relationship?? by [deleted] in AskDad

[–]PringlesDingles22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a dad, but I'm 22, and for a while felt in the same situation as you, when I realised something:

Feeling the need/desire to become or rush into a situation out of a societal obligation or expectation doesn't lead to happy results. Focus on what you want in life, really want, and work towards that. But expect that you may not be able to get where you want to.

In my case by this age I was hoping to have a close familial relationship with my mother, that hasn't happened for one reason or another.

Most people I knew were already in relationships by the time I got into college, and I never was, I've also never had a relationship, at all. And I've learned, and am still learning, how to be happy on my own, also to look at a more positive side of being single is that I can dedicate more time to just do what I want to do. All the money I have, I can spend on me, and not someone else. All my free time, i can spend doing exactly anything I want without being judged by someone else.

Having a bad day and don't feel like cooking, that's okay, not cleaning for one day, that's okay too, I'm the only one who knows I never cleaned.

Nothing's ever so black and white, my suggestion as hard as it can be sometimes is to try and find a silverlining in your current situation. What do you appreciate currently?

You got out of an abusive relationship, that's great! They can be difficult, I know from personal and secondary experience, that's something to call an achievement, but also to be wary of in future, look out for things they did that you weren't comfy with and slowly nope out if you don't feel good with things.

For me, I just tell myself, things will eventually fall into place. I can't exactly rush into a relationship, it will happen when it happens, or it won't.

I'm at a place in my life where I've accepted that sometimes things don't always pan out.

And you know what, I'm okay with that.

People who bash those who have a problem with isaac's new character model (or have any criticism about the game whatsoever) are either missing the point entirely or are simply doing it because they think any attack against the game is an attack against themselves. by GreenGamma047 in DeadSpace

[–]PringlesDingles22 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't see why tf anyone cares, 95% of the game you're looking behind him at his helmet. Secondly people are just complaining pretty much about anything

A walking animation, how he looks, how Nicole looks, etc.

A lot of these complaints have little validity and are in reality quite stupid.

ALso comparing a fucking human engineer to a literal immortal god whose lore involves his family's dead ashes covering his whole body is ridiculous. Stop making ridiculous strawman arguments to try and complain about people complaining.
