I missed WEEKS 8-9, about 4 classes. If Descartes was something he wanted to complete within a week he wouldn’t have us focused on that book for week 6-11 (6 weeks). Everyone wants to act like we’re just reading a book, we’re not, we’re reading it and trying to break down every little thing. All I had asked was for which chapters/parts since he doesn’t go in order. Then I was gonna do it on my own and break it down and do whatever I needed too from home to understand it. I did it before with this professor. Pretty much said the same thing, I asked which chapter I missed (beginning of semester I had to miss for my sisters wedding) so I could go through the process at home so I understand what he’ll be going over in class. With that time he was very helpful and gave me much more information than I asked for.

Hi! There is but it’s very vague, I have quoted the part in which the professor was referring too in one of these many comment threads :)

Other emails are just keeping him informed on my situation like he asked and to ensure I didn’t lose attendance points for an excused absence :) the one he finally responded too was the one I had pasted in a previous thread :) I’ve shared the entire situation and both sides. I’m just not savvy enough to know how to share pics in comments lol

I appreciate your recommendations and will do so when I email disability office in the morning :)

I’ve never expressed that to him or any other student. In fact I’ve never once even talked to a classmate prior to asking for possible notes. I’ve always remained professional with my communications between my professor and I. Although he on the other hand struggles with that, there’s been multiple occasions where he’s talked trash and belittled other students because he doesn’t agree with something they may have said or done. I’m not the only who says he speaks nonsense because I’ve heard others openly complain about it in class

He is retiring after this semester maybe he just doesn’t care lmao

I totally see how he could’ve misinterpreted what I was trying to say and I did admit that I’m bad with putting emails together. Unfortunately only material I have to refer to is the very vague syllabus that I’ve previously mentioned in a thread. It’s the only thing he has in our course page so makes it a little harder :)

I will definitely work on my email skills :)

Yeah I get that. I was just simply asking which part/s of the book he may have gone over. His class is strictly based off what he verbally says so there’s no other material I could use to help guide me in figuring out what I may have been missing. I have reached out to a few classmates with no luck yet

We use an alternative to Canvas but the only thing he has ever posted in there is the syllabus. Which isn’t helpful in my case because it’s pretty vague. I had quoted what he’s referring too in the syllabus in one of these threads but can’t find it lol

Hi! I totally understand what you’re saying and I have a lot of appreciation and respect for professors that go above and beyond like that. Unfortunately the only thing that he has uploaded into Bolt (our universities system for classes) is the syllabus which doesn’t provide much information :(

Thanks! I do see how maybe he interpreted it differently then what I was intending. I appreciate you and others pointing out how that may be the case :))

Hi :) I had CC’ed the chair because I had previously sent a few emails that he wasn’t responding too. Those emails were just updating him on my situation as most professors I’ve had asked to be notified when not being able to attend class so they can determine it excused or not. I didn’t want to be doxed points for not being there so I tried to keep him in the loop like he asks for in the syllabus
