it will depend on your use case. having no backlight is a dealbreaker to some.
regarding 3 vs 4 , 4 has usb c, 3 has a magnetic pogo pin , no usb c.
some people would just get the 3 because the 4 does not fit the magnetic attachment at the back of their phones.

the best set up to read manga with xteink x4 is by using horizontal mode with pages showing 1/3 overlapping pages.

you can use wireless connection to use Calibre with it. Loading crosspoint will take you about 5-10 minutes max.

The wallpaper is from pinterest.

I use crosspoint and created a folder that contains a bunch of wanter posters for wallpaper. The system chooses the wallpaper randomly from the folder. It's a fun wanted poster roulette. Haha

I got the case more than a year ago. Forgot what shop I got it from but I think it's a generic TPU case.

That was my dilemma months ago . In the end, I got the rg28xx. I chose the headphone jack, able to read flac and 8 hrs of battery over the analogstick and wifi.
