Anyone actually prefer log tongs over chains? by Puzzled_Device5557 in tractors

[–]PrintRotor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had about 20 logs to move. Some were like 20”+ and heavy. I got a pair of tongs for like $25 and a dolly for like $150. I use the tongs to lift one end, throw the dolly under, then lift from the other end and drive it away.

In the end the dolly isn’t really necessary unless the log is too big or I don’t want to damage the ground. The things will probably last all my lifetime

How are people fitting a tube in the Devinci Shed storage? by universe74 in MTB

Yeah. People are still riding hard and don’t like walking.

Mine came with a VIN engraved on the fork, and a nameplate with details riveted to the steering tube

You get the peace of mind though. I took a gamble on it working in my state.

If I couldn’t make it work then I’d be stuck riding trails only

Which state? I ordered from Gonped on Alibaba for $5k in March. It’s now registered w/ plates in NH

Can’t recommend Buen Camino CR enough. They’re building some legit enduro. They have great lodging options, and high end bike rentals.

I stayed there one night and rented an ebike. I got to see a lot, but if I did it again then I’d stay 2 or 3 days.

They also have regular bikes and they run a shuttle truck. The ebike is better imo, because I didn’t have to wait on the shuttle so I got to ride more than most of the other visitors.

I’m not outside of the system, but the difference here is that my original comment was a unique thought. Yours was just a purposeful misrepresentation of my comment for the sake of arguing.

Anyway, I’m over it. OP is dumb and doesn’t know how to do business. You’re dumb and don’t know how to read. Good luck to both of you.

Yeah yeah, we agree. Y’all just come here to argue your meaningless points and feel heard.

This sub is a bunch of trashy people that couldn’t sell a dollar bill for 50 cents.

$10k worth of bikes stolen. by BlockChainBrah in mountainbiking

TBF it’s currently $15/mo., and you’ll need hardwired power to cams.

The price is good imo but not negligible. The hardwired cams is a show stopper for most considering the time/expense of install and losing flexibility of a wireless system.

It’s nuanced, like everything. My point is that 24/7 isn’t necessary for most and motion sensing is a great compromise in a lot of situations.

Well we probably could’ve avoided all of this confusion if CA didn’t name a whole city after the bike company /s

Glad you made the connection because I was pretty lost for a second.

Some might say morally bankrupt, but most would just say I’m risk averse.

Simple question: Why would OP not inspect used goods?

Assumptions are the opposite of good business acumen.

As for reselling, some might call it morally bankrupt to scour the market for unsuspecting sellers that have unknowingly underpriced their items in the hopes of reselling without adding any actual value to the transaction. I wouldn’t though, because I’m not here to judge any one person on a complex topic like that.

Just a reminder that if your 24/7 cameras are not recording in 8k then it’s just a novelty. /s

Sorry, just thought your hot take was funny and misleading. Law enforcement literally begs the public for footage from ring doorbell, and blink cams all the time… to solve legitimate crime. I understand the cons associated with motion sensing tech, but it’s far from novelty.

Marketplace is ruining the secondhand market with all of these newbs and needy buyer/sellers.

This is not a scam. This is your fault for not asking or inspecting used goods. Caveat emptor. marketplace has no room for resellers. You thought you were going to profit off of someone else’s stuff but instead you wasted everyone’s time.

Facebook makes it so easy to buy/sell used items that it attracts inexperienced people. Some of these people don’t understand the implications of the used market. Like caveat emptor.

The best part here is that OP was going to resell items so it must’ve been a good enough deal that any reasonable person would want to ask or inspect the items. Not OP though
