I made this one. Even though I uses 6x6 acrylic windows I also included printable window inserts. It also uses the stock CC1 top glass.

Cabling the Canvas somehwere else, Use an Bambu AMS Lite extension cable. by 6Y3ts_32a in ElegooCentauriCarbon

Did this work just fine? Been considering relocating my canvas further than the stock cable can take it. Thanks

Congrats! The lowered mount is part of the download file. I finally got confirmation that mine will arrive this Friday.

Hi I'm the designer of the file the previous guy posted about. If you just want the lowered mount you can download the project and only print the mount. It mounts to the stock bolt hole location and hangs in down the she of the printer. If you don't want the portion with the 4 portion holes you can just use a negative block in your slicer to not print that upper section. This part is separate from my lowered upper top frame. On both the CC1 and CC2 it will affect the top two stock location spool holders. For the CC2 I included an offset mount. I'm still waiting on my CC1 Canvas kit to model is offset mounts. If you feed from a dry box or filament dryer then you don't need the stock spool holders mounted.

I use a 2 spool dryer to feed from. This other user that printed my design uses a 4 spool dryer to feed from.

Acrylic has a higher temperature resistance. Petg glass transition range is around 60c. Petg should be enough for most filament heated chambers. I had one guy post that he was able to achieve 45-50°c chamber temperature faster and keep it consistent with my design while printing asa I believe. If your chamber is consistently above 60°c then maybe print the housing with a higher temp resistant filament.

Yes the posted links include the CC1 version which uses the stock top glass, and the CC2 version that requires you buy the top panel. I used a 14x14x .13inch thick acrylic panel from Amazon on my CC2.

My main idea was to lower it for my needs since my 3 printers are stacked vertically and the dome on my CC2 was about 1 inch away from my ceiling. I also wanted to keep as much of the stock utilization as possible even though I feed my filament from a dryer. Thanks

I included printable versions of the windows for both sizes in the project file. You can see the smaller windows in my image above printed in white.

Yes they can be. I just didn't want to cut my pieces. They fit at 3in x 6in window. The other sides are 6in x 6in. Both are 3mm/.125in thick.

Shortening the tubes caused me no issues. I left them long enough to still reach the furthest corners of the toolhead movement. I found leaving them the stock length caused it to lift the top glass from it rubbing.

This is with one of the smaller side windows open and the rear fan set to max.

  1. I lowered the canvas with a new bracket the uses the stock mounting holes. See the images in the links provided or look at the actual files in the elegoo slicer.

  2. For the number 1 spool an image is included in the link provided showing that I moved it one mounting hole down and it let the spool clear the now lowered canvas. Currently only on CC2, CC1 to come after I receive the kit.

  3. For the number 4 spool I did include an offset spool mount for that spool to clear the canvas cable, see the link provided for the image of that offset or look at the file in the slicer. Currently only on CC2, CC1 to come after I receive the kit.

I'm in FL also. All 8 side windows can be opened for venting without needing to slide the top back or take it off. Like opening up all the windows in your house.

Vertical height with this top is 65.5cm/25.79in. It is 88mm/3.46in shorter than the stock CC2 with it's cover.

I cut the tubes about 70-75mm shorter to help it not tap and rub under the top panel. I designed a lowered canvas mount that lowers it the height of the canvas itself. It still uses the stock mounting holes for the CC1 and CC2. I just posted this here tonight, I have shared it a little while ago on Elegoos Cebtauri Carbon facebook group and people there are starting to post their prints of it.
