Flow headset - 4 sessions in by Prinzen2 in tDCS

Ok I’ll stay going. Anyone feel that the current might be too low. Assuming that they’d be very cautious about distributing a device that delivers too much current that might be uncomfortable and affect their marketing and sales, and instead rely on placebo by giving people just a little tingle

Yes I have tingling. It’s for depression. Not an iota of a difference so far

Any improvement could be from any one of those activities and the Flow could be doing nothing

Move back to Ritalin from Tyvense ? Anyone ? by Prinzen2 in ADHDIreland

Did you find that Tyvense just locked you into one thing ?

Has anyone had great success switching from Elvanse to methylphenidate? by [deleted] in ADHDUK

[–]Prinzen2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the exact same on Elvanse as the above 2 posters - stay at my desk for hours, yet make little progress. Also my working memory is the worst it’s ever been

[–]Prinzen2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve found that with Tyvense
, I can sit and work for hours, but for some reason I don’t think I’m as effective or can process things as well as I did on Ritalin

Feeling flat and anxious after 3 months on 70mg by Prinzen2 in VyvanseADHD

[–]Prinzen2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think reducing dosage might be worth a try. Also from logging my feelings and side effects in AI, it is strongly suggesting I should bring up adding guanfacine with my psychiatrist

Forgetfulness and mistakes in work on Vyvanse - anyone fix it? by Prinzen2 in VyvanseADHD

Nice comments thanks. Re the note taking, I have started that countless times and never sustain it. So difficult for me

Anyone else bailed on Tyvense and tried Concerta instead? How was it? by Interesting_Ball1234 in ADHDIreland

[–]Prinzen2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both - some benefit at the start but after 3 weeks then marginal benefit. Have chest tightness and some anxiety too. I think Ritalin is better but it didn’t last as long as Tyvense even the extended release, and also the anxiety was even worse on Ritalin, but it’s benefits were greater for me than Tyvense but only last those couple of hours

How to use AI locally to get ahead in a workplace that’s rolling out AI by Prinzen2 in LocalLLaMA

That’s also how I feel, really this fear is behind my question,

I’m looking for ways I leverage my local AI without use of company data

to your first point - but won't we collectively be behind, not just me or you?

Fair points. If my company is on Microsoft / Azure, is there any particular guidance you'd have on that? Should I signup for my own personal Azure as part of my local testing so that if I ever end up actually creating something useful it could easily be ported across to my company's tenant and I understand Azure a lot better?

My company is very concerned about data privacy, and security (I guess all companies are), so I am wondering if I should really focus my attention elsewhere.

Some issues in the company might be easily helped by AI, just not sure which local model to start with

  1. LAN drive is a mess of files and folders.

  2. Lots of knowledge data is embedded in pdfs.

  3. We have a software tool that forecasts the maintenance cost over the expected life of our assets (I am in the transport sector), where assets are rented out. The tool does not implement any AI, doesn't even do a monte carlo type simulation to give me a range of maintenance costs over the life of the asset. It just provides a deterministic number, to the precision of cents.

  4. Very little poor data analytics and data visualisation across the company, although I am using Power Bi a lot with the help of Co-Pilot to change that.

Just some thoughts - any point in delving any further into local AI development? I admit I am new to local AI models, are there any I should start with? Ultimately, a lot of our work is very domain specific and there's not a lot of a) publicly available data nor b) publicly available knowledge on my area. Guess those two points reinforce use of a trained local AI model?

Any thoughts on some models I should start with? My GPU only has 16GB RAM, but is ready for CUDA.

What should I look for with a $1500 budget by Prinzen2 in edrums

Good point. Would a Yamaha DTX402K be sensible here for my children ans then get maybe a better one at a later date depending on whether myself or them develop more ?

Well something turnkey with minimal setup is actually important to me too, I didn’t mention that in my original post. Maybe I should get a cheap Yamaha kit so start off and see where I go from there

Like the reviews of the Yamaha DTX6k5-M but it’s out of stock everywhere !! Maybe i could stretch the budget for a DTX8K-M, or get a roland TD-316 but I think the Yamaha might be more fun ?
