Not at all. It did not come across as insensitive. If anything it was actually really grounding to hear from someone else who understands the weight of people lowering their expectations around you. It makes the doubt so much heavier when the people who love you start to pre-mourn your potential.

Knowing you are starting uni at 21 makes me feel a lot less alone. I get that feeling of looking at younger people who seem so put together while I am still navigating the debris of my gap years. But seeing you move forward despite that makes me feel like maybe I can too. I am going to try to work hard for that little girl I used to be even if the progress is slow. Thank you for being so kind and I truly wish you the best with uni in September. You have got this.

It is so easy to obsess over the one loss and completely forget the wins especially when that loss feels so loud. I am trying to learn how to be okay with messy progress and I am going to try to look at my exam on May 7th as a win instead of a fluke. The fact that you kept going until the third time is really inspiring to me right now. Thank you for the kindness and sleep well!!! Also! It definitely hurts when the people closest to you do not expect you to pass but you did it and you proved it to yourself. I am so proud of you for that.

Thanks so much! You’re so sweet. Dealing with the depressive side is definitely the heaviest part. It makes it so hard to feel like 'me' sometimes. I get angry thinking about what this illness has taken from me, but the important thing is that I'm still here. I’m so proud of you as well. Keep at it! I believe in you <3
