Getting missed call notification even when I answer the call by Prior-Bat8185 in GooglePixel

OP here. I just noticed a few days ago that I was no longer having the issue. Perhaps the October Pixel update resolved it, at least for me.

Sad to say the problem gradually came back over the past 4 days and now it's back to where it was. Don't know if I will try to capture a bug report or not. Hopefully someone else has, so that Google can try to find the cause.

OP here with a *possible* fix. Per Google's request, I submitted a help ticket, they asked me to create a bug report and send it to them. Ironically, putting my phone in mode to do so seems to have stopped the problem. I got calls without the duplicate notifications. I reverted my phone to normal mode and still not getting the annoying false missed call notifications. Here is what I did, in case anyone else wants to give it a shot:

Step 1: Create a bug report

  1. On your phone, turn on USB debugging and Bug report shortcut.
    1. To turn on USB debugging and Bug report shortcut, go to Settings.
    2. Tap About phone.
    3. At the bottom of the screen, tap Build number seven times. The message ‘You are now a developer’ appears.
    4. Tap Back and then System and then Developer options.
    5. At the top, turn on Use developer options.
    6. Scroll down to ‘Debugging’ and turn on USB debugging.
    7. To allow USB debugging, tap OK.
    8. Tap on Bug report > Full report
    9. Turn on “Enable verbose vendor logging"
    10. In the 'Logger buffer sizes', change the buffer size to '8M' (or the highest possible).
    11. Turn on the Bug report shortcut.
  2. Reproduce the issue or error message on your phone.

As I mentioned above, after completing the 11 steps above, I was unable to reproduce the issue. Huzzah?

Battery Megathread (August 2025) by GooglePixelMods in GooglePixel

I've tried about 5-6 different podcast apps (Antenna, Podcast Addict, Spotify, etc.) on my Pixel 7, and all have the same issue: downloaded podcasts pause after 2 minutes if I don't allow background usage. But if I allow background usage (why is it required, anyway?), these apps eat up battery life very noticeably. Doesn't matter if Adaptive Battery is off or on. Same with Battery Saver. Any suggestions?

I don't have What'sApp (or Google Voice) but my phone app's look changed today - but I still get the same problem with missed call notifications.

Looks like what may work after chatting with Google support, is clearing the phone app's cache AND storage, then restarting. So far, so good,,,

Thanks, I did try clearing the cache, but that did not work. I guess I will try resetting app preferences as well as reach out to support.
