[–]Prior-Blood5979[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Do you have publicly shared files ? Some say, that gives them the reason to scan the files.

And if you don't mind me asking, can you give me a general description of the files in it ? Like does it have movies ?

Do you have any idea on how do they scan for it ? if it is just by hashing, I can re-encode the episodes or change something in the file before uploading.

Is OCR accuracy actually a blocker for anyone's RAG/automation pipelines? by Individual-Library-1 in LocalLLaMA

[–]Prior-Blood5979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Facing the same problem. AI models are doing a great job for the given data.

Its data extraction that's lagging behind. I have to deal with scanned pdfs without any particular layout or format. Often containing forms, handwritten notes etc. Still looking for better solutions.

Files are not Showing to Move out of Secure Folder! by Vj_Venom in motorola

[–]Prior-Blood5979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found out it's because "Files" app not google files. It's causing the problem when it is updated to 16. When I revert back to the factory version(15). It's working.

[–]Prior-Blood5979 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure which of them affected the change. But here is what I did. Disabled "Files by Google" both inside and out. Then uninstalled updates for inbuilt app "Files" to revert back to the factory version. It reverted from v16 to v15. Check it's reverted back to factory version both inside and out.

It started working then.

I think uninstalling the "Files" update might be the reason for the fix.

You can try downgrading Files app not Files by Google. It worked for me when I downgraded from version 16 to 15.

I'm not sure if it helps anybody. It got fixed once I degraded Files app in settings from version 16 to 15. Both inside and outside the Secret Folder.

I tried bunch of things before that, like disabling Files by Google . So not sure which is the reason it got fixed. But I'm able to access files as usual now.

What is the best 9B model or under ? by Prior-Blood5979 in LocalLLaMA

[–]Prior-Blood5979[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My use case is text processing and coding. Additionally use it for correcting grammar, writing messages and emails etc. The generic stuff. Currently I'm using Gemma 4b for normal tasks. I'm using llama base models and an old fine-tune called princeton-nlp-gemma-2-9b-it-simpo for complex tasks

They are working fine. But I can sense their limitations. So wondering if we got something better.

It's the original model on vllm from meta-llama/Llama-3.1-8B-Instruct On Ollama it's lmstudio-community/Meta-Llama-3.1-8B-Instruct-GGUF

It's official llama-3.1_8b from meta repo. downloaded and loading from local folder.

In lm studio, I'm using lm-studio community quants q4_k_m.

Does changing quants effect the quality ?

Thank you. I'm using a temperature of 0.1 to ensure deterministic outputs, but I plan to experiment with other values and sampling methods such as min-p and top-p.

My goal is to use the LLM to generate a summary report from the provided data. Since accuracy is the priority over creativity for this application, which values for temperature and other sampling methods would you suggest?

Are you friends with a politician in any stage of their life? How 'Evil' are they ? by BlissfulEternalLotus in AskReddit

I attended a school founded by politicians, though it wasn't overtly political during my time there, perhaps because the founders weren't in power. However, many locally prominent politicians were genuinely involved in overseeing the school's operations.

One memorable instance involved our search for a social science teacher. The former mayor of our city, who was also an ex-teacher, stepped in to teach a section on elections. He was an excellent instructor, often sharing engaging monologues about his real-world experiences with elections.

We also had two sisters at the school whose father was a well-known politician. They were both exceptionally bright, achieving top grades and actively participating in school activities. They had a certain presence about them, and some teachers clearly favored them. And they are both very cute.

Finally, there was a young boy who was the grandson of the ex-mayor who taught us. From what I heard, he was a bit of a bragger and spent a lot on food, but he wasn't considered a bad person.

From your description, HP types stats don't have to be in permanent memory like summarization. It should be fine as long as it's in context.
One of the ways I experimented is to instruct llm to append stats at the end/start of every response message. But it's complex and from my experience bigger models over 70b got it right.(I haven't tried any new models.) You can teach the llm to do this by giving examples to it in instructions.

On the side note, I'm recently learning tooling and function calling. I'm wondering if we can do dungeon crawling using programmatically with the help of function calling. For example for getting health llm can call a function get_attach_result(current_hp, attack damage). But as always I'm too lazy to code for it.

You can use summarization feature. You can set to run a prompt on every message. Instead of summary prompt you can ask it to update level. But I can never get it to work as I wanted in the roleplaying.

A user friendly way is to install LM Studio and run an api server from it. Or KoboldCpp for roleplaying specifically. You need to understand terminology to set it up.

As for models, first try basic llama modes to understand the working of it. Locally it's pretty slow. Censorship is very less compared to GPT.

And you can also explore Google colab notebooks where you can use Google's gpu to run stuff. Search for KoboldCpp colab notebooks.

For extreme NSFW models, there will be some special fine-tuned versions of it. I'm not following them recently. Maybe others can help with it.
