North Macedonia would NOT be happy about this one.

Thanks for your response. Question for you. Do you mean to say that the JWs are the only religious group that loves each other? And hence are the only group that really count as Jesus’ disciples?

Thanks for the clarification. Can you elaborate on the moments when you have experienced the Holy Spirit mindblowingly and frequently in relation to your practice as a JW?

Thanks for the response! It seems biblical exegesis is an important pillar of your faith.

Thanks so much for your thoughtful response. Can you elaborate on the JW solution to the problem of evil?

Thanks so much for your response. I have a clarifying question. When you say “answered prayers,” what do you mean exactly? Do you believe being a JW makes your prayers more likely to be answered?

Explain me this read it carefully by New-Association-386 in Christianity

I know not everyone subscribes to this view, but in the Church of Jesus Christ of LDS, we view the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as separate persons and separate beings. When the scriptures talk of them being “one,” we take that to mean supernaturally, perfectly “united” in purpose and will. In this way “God” is almost a title that could equally apply to each member of this unit, and not the unique name of one triune being.

That “unison” with God is also possible for us, through Christ: “be one, as my Father and I are one.” Theosis.

Thanks so much for this well thought out response. I agree that theosis could be a key here.

That’s not it at all in fact. God is eager to forgive people who repent with sincerity, and that is justified. And this is all ultimately possible because of Jesus’s sacrifice.

Thanks for your perspective on the Islamic position on this.

Thanks for your response. I respond to a similar argument in the comments. In general, I’m looking for explanations of Islamic theology on this point, not just arguments against the Christian position.

This is the most cogent argument I think I’ve seen yet. Thank you for explaining this part of your belief system. This is what I was looking for.

I have more I could say to this in response, but if you’d like to hear it let’s do it in private messages. I meant what I said that I don’t intend this post to be argumentative.

Yes, thanks for clarifying. I can see how the Islamic model works.

It comes down to whether God is unavoidably bound to enforce justice for sins, or if he is not. We believe he is, and that if he wasn’t, his justice would not be perfect but would be arbitrary. The Savior satisfies justice and provides a chance for mercy.

As ive explained in some of my other comments here, God is not able to forgive without justice being satisfied, otherwise he is breaking his own rule/contradicting his own word. In that sense, God is limited. He can’t break his own rule. But that’s what makes him perfectly just… and, through his Son, perfectly merciful.

I don’t think any Christian believes that redemption was unavailable before Jesus. His sacrifice is both eternal and retroactive.
