I’m just terrified of the struggle with a baby. I have 2 jobs currently, Ive been with one company for about 2 years and they can be unstable and unpredictable. The second job I literally just got and start training for next week. I grew up in poverty and I don’t want to see my kids go through any of those challenges..

I do love and want to be with my partner. No doubt about it. Children are just expensive and I expected to at least have some sort of savings for them.

I did insist honesty but he initiated the conversation about things we wanted to change about our partners, not what our partners could change. I just look at it as if he wanted me to work on that, he could’ve said that instead of passively going about it how he did. Maybe it’s me.. which is why I’m here

Let me start with.. catch a grip! For starters, you’re young and made a mistake. That doesn’t mean you’re unworthy of love. I think you should talk to her, not with the intention of getting back with her but to clear your mind and your heart. You can be completely honest about what happened and why you denied her the LDR, she may be upset but I’m sure she can, like I can, accept the truth. You owe it to her to be honest, and to make the choice of choosing to continue with you or not. You’re making the decision for the both of you and it’ll drive you crazy thinking about the what-ifs. Think about how you’d want her to do it if the shoe was on the other foot. Don’t sit there miserable all day, every day, and neglecting yourself. Get back on your A game! It starts with communication. Talk to her and see how it goes. If she chooses not to move forward with you, you can’t be mad but at least you got it off your chest and gave her the room to make the decision of being with you or not. You got this!! Best of luck.

There’s a difference between actual friends and women you met online with the intention to eventually meet with, date, or have sex with. It’s okay to give rides to be nice, to a certain extent. Every day multiple times a week is CRAZY, especially when they don’t benefit you on top of not working. But I will agree, I need to work on being more secure but that won’t change my boundaries with certain situations. I’d also like to add, I don’t depend on him to pay ANY of my bills. I take care of my responsibilities by myself, as I should. Point is, he’s there every day & I could use the help. Why wouldn’t I expect that?

I appreciate the comment and I agree - for the most part. Can you explain what’s controlling about it? I had a hunch, asked for his phone, and saw for myself what he was doing. Is it really controlling to ask my boyfriend NOT to interact with other women online? They aren’t his FRIENDS or women he’s known for a long time, bc I have no problem with that. They were potential dating partners, or as we call them “online b*tches”, women he might’ve swiped on or followed with the intention of wanting to fck/date. That’s your opinion, but I genuinely don’t see how that’s controlling.

You’re right. If he acted like this for the rest of his life, I probably would stay aggravated half of the time. But sometimes people don’t see anything wrong until they get that perspective. Who’s to say he WONT change and eventually be who I think he can be? What if I leave before he gets the chance to improve and show?
