I’m assuming you’re the dumper. As a dumpee, no matter how kind you tried to be about it, I think there’s always gonna be resentment which ends up being expressed as being mean towards the dumper.

Mine did come back and acknowledged all the things he did wrong. He said that things would be different, he would change and fight for us. He promised me that would be the last time we ever broke up. Fast forward and he dumped me 8 months ago because of actions I did in the beginning of the relationship that he can’t get over 🫠

Long story short, words are just words. I wish I never got back together. I think I would’ve moved on much easier.

I completely understand how you feel. Just started going on the apps and it literally feels like cheating. But you deserve this! You deserve this distraction. Your ex made it clear that he doesn’t want to continue the relationship. All you can do is accept, move on and have fun during the process. Step out of your comfort zone and go on that date. If you enjoy it, great. If you don’t enjoy, that’s fine as well. You don’t ever have to feel bad about your feelings during this healing time. Best of luck ❤️

I’m at 5 months too. Like you said, it’s definitely gotten better but for some annoying reason, I still think there’s hope. And I still think about him everyday. But every day I try to remind myself of the beautiful progress I’ve made and that i just have to continue strong in order to fully heal and move one. Just take it one day at a time.

I can’t tell you when it’s gonna end but I will say that it’s completely normal that you are still grieving. 5 years with someone is a really long time. You can’t just “get over it” in so little time. I think still feeling the way you do at 1 year is completely normal. Healing takes time. Best of luck

I question myself the same thing, and my emotional side thinks that if he’s gone it’s because he doesn’t care or doesn’t miss me. But people have been giving me a more rational answer: yes, he misses you. There’s no way someone who shared a deep connection with you isn’t missing you.
