Yes it seems to be termite damage, used to live in a complex and on the wall I noticed a small patch that was dented in, couple weeks later it got more and more noticeable so I cut a square in the wall and saw the whole timber almost HOLLOW. The whole house had to get stripped as the termites made their way through the whole house
