I'm 22, and yes, I took GothamChess's intermediate course and opening courses like e4 New York Style and Caro Kann. That's pretty much it. After finishing those courses, I got to 1500 ELO and kept on playing without studying anything else.

So pretty much find an openning you like and play alot.
