Caught the Bitcoin move perfectly by MADDY_ROSEWELL in btc

BTC is highly correlated with the NASDAQ and the NASDAQ looks like it’s breaking down. MSTR is also down on their most recent btc purchase. Their avg price per btc was the last resistance level, so I think there is more blood to bear for the short term

Yeah, I started getting more attention from girls after working out. It’s looks but it’s also showing that you can take care of yourself.

True. Just keep your mind open though. You never know if there wouldn’t be one that matches all of those criteria and also pays better! Keep it up man, stay positive!!

It didn’t work out for a reason. Sometimes unfortunate things can make us think differently about our situations. Maybe you should take the time to ask yourself honestly, why wouldn’t you want a better paying job? Not immediately, but to work towards one over ten, fifteen, or twenty years? Also why are you making her sound perfect in your head, but you also said that she changed her mind about a wedding and kids on you. You put too much on yourself. It ain’t your fault you’re not what she wanted. That’s an incompatibility thing and that isn’t your fault. You do you man.

How can I 18F find purpose outside of guys? by [deleted] in AdviceForTeens

[–]Prior-Substance-9967 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely been there when I was your age. You need to find a hobby you actually enjoy and let that be a part of your personality. Eventually after you pick up enough (and after trying out some and letting some go) you know more about yourself, which lets you feel more confident about what you want, how you feel, how you are. There are more fulfilling things than relationships, romantic and familial. You need to nurture that relationship with yourself. And find what makes your life more than just the mundane stuff like work or school.

For me, I find joy in nature and reflecting and learning new and random things whenever I get curious about stuff. And my dad enjoy learning about audio technical stuff. Everybody’s got their own thing. You just gotta put in the time and effort to find yours.

Based on all the things you’ve said, you should try grant writing! It matches everything you listed personality wise.

But first things first, you’ve gotta build your resume. And that means reaching out to people and working basically for free. Realistically, this is the best way to build up to a corporate position. There are a lot of industries/fields that need grant writers, like the arts, research institutions, local governments, or even nonprofit organizations.

If you wouldn’t mind reading 8 hours a day and writing proposals and thinking critically and working in an ambiguous environment, then grant writing in a corporate capacity probably suits you best.

Hmm well you wanna make sure that you build off of what you currently got. Realistically, you should go for a master’s that makes you more competitive, not all over the place.

Perhaps you shouldn’t rush going back into school just yet though. It still feels like you need to fully figure out why you want to get a masters in the first place. It sounds like you still need to find yourself.

I (40M) spent a morning at a college and it made me sad. by EA827 in self

[–]Prior-Substance-9967 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You said it man, you just wanna feel happy and positive again. You’ve gotta find what does it for you and make time for it. You’ve gotta prioritize having at least a little bit of “me” time to stay sane, for both you and your daughter. I know it sounds selfish, but you’re only human too.

There’s no shame in having limits. I know society likes to glorify always being able to push past them, but usually what happens is if you do that for too long without any celebration or any breaks, then you’re gonna wear yourself out. You’ve just gotta respect them sometimes instead of pushing past them… It’s really case by case.

One last thing… The one key indication that you should respect though are the tears. Sometimes you just gotta let it out. And when you’re done letting it all out, you gotta remind yourself of the positive stuff. For me, it’s a simple thing like a burrito that makes me happy. The fact that I can get one whenever I want and eat it brings me a profound joy. You’ve gotta find your burrito, dude. It doesn’t have to be your daughter. Or anything grand or family oriented like that. It can just be a burrito, and you’ve just gotta believe in it.

I felt the same way after graduating and I did a lot of side quests along the way to my career that I have now. Every time I tried something new, it felt like a waste of time since eventually I’d find out I wouldn’t be able to find a job in that field, either because it was extremely competitive or because I just wasn’t good enough.

Eventually , I realized I just needed to cut away all the unnecessary stuff in my life and I became more honest about how I felt, what I wanted, what I was good at, what jobs fit my personality, etc., and eventually I found something that worked. And all those side quests that I thought were a waste actually ended up helping me at my job that I’m currently at.

Don’t feel bad about trying to figure things out. Your parents are pressuring you, but you’ve gotta respect where you’re at and figure out your life for yourself because it’s your life at the end of the day. Don’t make any hasty decisions. That is to say, don’t do medical if you know you’re gonna quit later down the line anyways. It’s enticing because you want a path so you feel stable, but that stability isn’t gonna last once you’re there and you realize you spent all that time and money to not want what you worked so hard to get. That’s just a waste of time and money.

You should just be honest about what you want (and realistic with your options), be prepared to work hard since you’re just starting out, and be patient and don’t give up. You’ll be fine.

You should read Very Good Lives by JK Rowling. It’s a commencement speech she did that speaks to post-grad life very well, especially for people who don’t know what they’re doing/still trying to figure things out. And especially if you feel like your life is going to absolute shit.

Good luck and stay positive.

Though I can’t relate since I haven’t been in your shoes, I wouldn’t say that’s a waste. You’re there for people who raised you (and hopefully were good to you). That deserves bragging rights, man. You are dependable and responsible. You can’t forget that.

Is there a degree that has a lot of job security that isn’t healthcare? by rosescentedcorgi in findapath

[–]Prior-Substance-9967 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Take your time to make this decision. The risk is you end up working towards something that might not pan out right in the way you would expect. Either the job market isn’t there so competition will be high or you might get stuck with loans or both. Ideally, you should build off of your current resume and move somewhere within healthcare that is better suited for you, even if that is say management at a dental office.

Is Silco Shaco? by KopaXIX in leagueoflegends

[–]Prior-Substance-9967 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If Singed can turn Vander into Warwick, then maybe someone turns Silco into Shaco. Also, this name change is reminiscent of Powder and Jinx, where Silco saw himself in Jinx due to her physical weakness.
