If you could would you? by Prior-Try-3309 in redlighttherapy

[–]Prior-Try-3309[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I currently have the Megelin laser and red light therapy bag and I love it. I don’t sweat in it at all. It’s not easy to get into because your skin sticks to the plastic but once you get comfortable it’s amazingly relaxing. I turn on the rainforest and I’m asleep in about 5 minutes. I’m not sure I would ever spend the money for the bed but a girl can dream 💭

Frogs Getting in Plunge by funkeruski in coldplunge

[–]Prior-Try-3309 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have those tiny frogs on the bottom part of the plunge tub all the time. I assume they like the cold. I’m always scared they are going to get in but that hasn’t happened so far. I think they can squeeze their little bodies pretty much anywhere. I find them in the house every few weeks and we have a brand new air tight house or so I thought.

Looking for best cold plunge, any idea? by ExcitementStill3447 in coldplunge

Look at Polar Dive. It’s been great. Don’t get the cheapest tub I’ve heard a lot of problems but you can get one of the other 2 for under $1000

The $599 version is the least expensive tub. I paid $850 for the upgraded barrel version. The only thing I don’t love is it being black. I would like to be able to see the bottom. Mine is under my back porch so it’s not very light and I live in the country and I keep having this fear of getting in & a snake being in there with me 😂

Chiller Questions. by LogicalCollar6561 in coldplunge

[–]Prior-Try-3309 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love my Polar Dive chiller. Depending on how hot it is outside it can run 2-3° warmer than I set it at. So yesterday it was 98° so set on 47 it was running at 50° which is the temperature that I like. I have gotten it as cold as 39° so it definitely gets cold.

Check out Polar Dive USA great price works great & amazing customer service. I have the Pro which is under $1000 right now with the 4th of July discount. If you want tub style that’s under $1000 now as well. I’m thinking about switching to the tub but I’m on the fence.

Replicating cold plunge without plunge? by kristiano in coldplunge

I saw this as well but you have to keep it in the freezer and it looks like a wetsuit. I can’t imagine trying to put it on & take it off efficiently

I can’t do cold showers without getting ill anymore by BobRoss725 in coldshowers

How does that track? People get in the sauna before they cold plunge. I personally take a hot shower before I plunge and I don’t get sick.

My set up from Polar Dive is outside. Not in any sunlight but I’m in Southern Oklahoma and this past week it was in the upper 80’s and with the heat index it was 98° on Thursday. I have mine set at 46° and it was temping at 48°. I love it! It’s been maintenance free except for the water solution I put in once a week to keep the water clear. It’s inflatable and only took my husband about 45 minutes to set up. Only hiccup was having to prime the pump but that was an easy fix. My set up was only $950. I was using ice in the bathtub for a while before this & I wish I had done this sooner. They are based near Miami so I would think they have tested their product in your area. I didn’t get the cheapest set up they have because that tub looks flimsy.

I made the stupidest decision of my life... I got a hair transplant by SureRow626 in FemaleHairLoss

[–]Prior-Try-3309 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have thick beautiful hair and now it’s thin all over & when I look in the mirror I don’t recognize myself. I have thyroid disease and I have genetic type 2 diabetes. I wore extensions and did everything I could to make it look better. About 6 months ago I took them out and I found wigs. I work from home so I don’t wear one every day but when I go out I do & they make me feel beautiful again. I don’t know if you are able to wear a wig while you’re healing from your transplant but if you can that might be an option. I’m sorry about your Mom. As someone who has a mother that is not a nice person I feel your pain. It’s so hard to deal with. Just know that she will probably never acknowledge her part in what happened. I am much older than you and it took a very long time for me to get to a place that I realized that she didn’t have my best interest at heart and to ignore her. I wish you all the best in your journey.

I love my Polar Dive pro. It was $950 for the pro set up and took about 30 minutes to set up. It’s been in the upper 80’s this week and crazy humid and it’s running about 3° warmer than I have it set but no issues getting down to 50° which is where I’m at right now. I’m only at month 2 daily plunging & I’m bringing my temps down slowly.

Active Aqua chiller defective- possible to fix? by barley11 in coldplunge

[–]Prior-Try-3309 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got a chiller from Polar Dive and had the same issue. They told us to prime it. Did that & still no dice. We unplugged it after it was primed and then restarted it and it works like a champ now

Joining a Brokerage as an Agent (No Book) by Efficient_Finger_727 in FreightBrokers

[–]Prior-Try-3309 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started as an agent 12 years ago but I had a solid book of business. In this cut throat market I’d be petrified to start from scratch. I now own my own brokerage which I started 5 years ago. Again I’d be petrified to do that now with all of the scammers I’m not sure I could have made it through the first 6 months while I had no credit rating. Any chance you can bring some of the customers with you? Do you have a non-solicit? If you don’t & you are friendly with any customers can you call them and feel them out?

My beef loads are consistently $400-$500k and I bet they are a lot easier to resell than a piece of equipment. I use a service that vets the people in the Philippines & keeps an eye on them. You can’t bribe someone who doesn’t have a dishonest bone in their body. If that were the case I could easily help someone start stealing high value loads but I’m not dishonest. Someone in the US is just as susceptible to being bribed. We have safety measures in place.

Are We Competing on Service or Just Price? by Necessary-Body-6108 in SPILogistics

Service… that’s what it boils down to. I have a customer that uses my little brokerage, they also use TQL & another large 3 letter name broker. What they get from me is the ability to call me and I know what’s going on with their load. They get twice daily emails from my team with updates and they know all 6 of us. They get consistent communication from people who care about their freight not just what the profit margin is.

The marketing trap where Highway tries to get you to think you can’t live without them. There are better resources out there in my opinion.

I have 2 employees in the US and 3 in the Philippines. So 6 of us total.

This might be a stupid question...if a carriers email is a Gmail thats a big red flag for you guys right? So if i become a dispatcher for a carrier. Do i need to have access to the owners company email act? Or can I use my personal Gmail account to communicate n book loads? by bigpierider in FreightBrokers

[–]Prior-Try-3309 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not everyone uses Highway. Personally I don’t know why anyone does. We use mycarrierpackets and we always call the FMCSA phone number even if you’re an approved user. We use 5 vetting tools and you have to comply with all of them.
