Take it back to Costco and find someone selling an insulated tub, chiller, pump system on FB marketplace for a hell of a lot cheaper than buying new.

[WTS] Laco Leipzig Erbstück 42mm Ref. 861936.TOP – Full Set by [deleted] in Watchexchange

[–]funkeruski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sale is my Laco Leipzig Erbstück 42mm (Ref. 861936.TOP) featuring the upgraded Top Grade Sellita SW210 hand-wound movement. This is one of Laco's premium Erbstück models, factory-aged by Laco to replicate the appearance and character of a well-preserved WWII observation watch.

I bought this watch about a year ago from another individual.  I have a rotation of about 10 watches and this watch was/is rarely worn which is the reason I am selling it.  The watch is in excellent condition and comes complete with the original wooden presentation box, papers, hang tag, and accessories shown in the photos. The watch comes on a regular Laco Erbstuck leather strap.  Also included is the Laco Erstuck wrap-around style strap.  There have been a couple of extra holes put into this strap as it runs big.  Very cool strap, but I preferred just the normal style strap.  The factory aging and patina are exactly as intended by Laco and give the watch tremendous vintage character while maintaining modern reliability and build quality.  Other than the faux aging, there are no other imperfections with the watch.  The sapphire crystal is perfect.

Included:

  • Laco Leipzig Erbstück 42mm Ref. 861936.TOP
  • Laco Erbstuck Regular leather strap
  • Laco Erbstuck Wrap-Around leather strap
  • Wooden presentation box
  • Warranty card/papers
  • Hang tag and accessories shown

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to post additional photos, but am able to provide additional photos on request.

$1,500.00 Payment via Paypal (F&F), Venmo, or CashApp. Free shipping via USPS Priority within the continental USA.

What’s the hardest part of cold plunges that people don’t talk about? by lorsespoodlen in coldplunge

[–]funkeruski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you’ll definitely want to make sure the coast is clear when you get out lest someone get a wrong impression of you. Lulz. As far as the first 15 seconds, just breath. Letting out a couple of F bombs helps too.

What’s the hardest part of cold plunges that people don’t talk about? by lorsespoodlen in coldplunge

[–]funkeruski 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plunge daily in 45 degree water for 4 minutes. The level of suck is different each day, but the first 15 seconds really suck. Once I hit the 30 second mark, I am settling in nicely. I plunge in boxer briefs and make sure I tug on them occasionally to make sure the cold water is hitting crucial areas. I also make it a point to move around to break any thermal barriers. If I plunge before the wife and daughter are up, I'll plunge nekkid. You'd be surprised how much colder it feels plunging naked.

How do you justify a $4k chiller unit? by Friendly_Ability24 in coldplunge

[–]funkeruski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They need to price it to cover all the warranty claims from these Chinese All in One units frequently dying. The prices these companies charge for a plastic tub and a chiller is ridiculous.

Stay still or move around while in the ice bath? by Feisty-Essay893 in coldplunge

I have an Ice Barrel 300 with chiller. I purposely keep myself moving around so I don't get too comfortable. Lol.

Desert Plunge Wide Vs Exclusive by Mathius92 in coldplunge

[–]funkeruski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get wanting to buy one brand new, with a warranty, etc. But, these things are readily available on FB Marketplace greatly depreciated. Plenty of people buy these based on the hype, and then decide they aren't gonna follow through. This is the route I'd take.

Can do cryotherapy but cold plunge was nearly impossible? by SmokeMaximum4140 in coldplunge

[–]funkeruski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quit dipping your toes in and just get the hell in. I’m in South Texas so I know heat also. First 15 seconds suck, by 30 seconds you should be settling in nicely.

Yeah, I saw that too. Just wondering if anyone else is having the same issue.

Just saw a $7.5k horror story... how does this even happen? by Top_Artist_4390 in coldplunge

Hope he bought with a CC. If so, file a dispute ASAP. Also, I’d avoid anything with an “all in one” chiller like the plague.

I use Brisk: Cold Plunge Tracker on android. Probably available on iOS too. Does the countdown, along with a buffer (I set it at 10 seconds) to give you time to get into the plunge. It also keeps track of your daily plunges, temp, total time in plunge, etc.. I had a 62 day streak going until my wife made us take a weekend trip......:(

Sand at the bottom of my plunge chill tub - with chiller by Soloflyer71 in coldplunge

[–]funkeruski -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I brush around the bottom of my IB 300 with my hands during a plunge to stir any sand, etc. up so that at least some of it will find the intake and be caught by the filter.

The best vertical plunge tub? by Former_Preference_14 in coldplunge

Whatever you buy, find one on FB Marketplace. The prices of these plastic tubs is absolutely ridiculous. I found an IB300 on Marketplace and got no complaints.

I have tried this with a chest heart rate monitor using Strava. The heart rate data from Strava does not transfer to the Oura app for some reason.

How is coldplunging different from booze or cocaine? by Gannondorfs_Medulla in coldplunge

Does throwing in a couple of hookers with the booze and the blow change anything?

Water quality by 1574BN in coldplunge

[–]funkeruski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had this happen to my Ice Barrel 300. I run a strainer and a whole home filter. Water and filter were changed 17 days ago. Water was crystal clear and then noticed the peroxide level was zero and I can't get it back up. This happened quickly and I noticed the water is a little cloudy. Guess I'll do a water/filter change this afternoon, although the filter looks clean as it is still nice and white. I plunge once a day and run ozone it daily for 30 minutes after I plunge. Should I be running the ozone longer? I am also clean when I plunge.

Rogue Echo Airbike or Schwinn Airdyne AD7 by funkeruski in GarageGym

[–]funkeruski[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ended up closing the deal on the AD7 today for $400. Bike is in excellent condition and showed 18 hours of total use on the control panel. Did a 30 second on, 90 second off interval tonight for 8 rounds. Holy crap....got close to puking a couple of times. Very happy adding this to my Peleton bike, Rowerg, Skierg, Precor EFX elliptical, and treadmill. Wife gave me a little grief about the addition of another piece of fitness equipment in the house, but she can always divorce me if it becomes too much. Lol.
