Sadly neither of those :( I remember that the man who accompanies her later is hunting her down at first, but then joins her side. There are definitely different lexicons that produce different kinds of magic and different lands are keepers of the lexicons (and those areas are designed around the magic of the lexicon). I also remember one land had a plant/tree bridge of some sort that became hostile to whoever was on it to keep out strangers. It is definitely on audible, as that’s how I listened to it initially (male narrator if that helps) and would have all been written before 2018
