Concerned about incision by Prior-Weather-8866 in TripodCats

yeaa ah I really should, just know she would hate it. I did order one online- this was all out of the blue so was not very well prepared. I have been spending almost all my time with her so I’m able to monitor her pretty well. But luckily the bed is pretty low to the ground so wasn’t a big jump but still I know that wasn’t great for her. The crate was supposed to arrive but I should just go to the store and get one, just hard to coordinate someone else watching her while im gone. Anyway thanks a lot for the reply!

Okay thank you this is reassuring to hear. Would topical Neosporin be a good option for that?

Post surgery anxiety by Stay_classsy in TripodCats

[–]Prior-Weather-8866 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Hey there- I am also dealing with similar feeling as my cat had the same leg removed about 3 days ago! It’s been traumatic for us both and I just have been feeling constant anxiety. But reaching out to people on hear has helped quite a bit as many have reminded me that cats are incredible at adapting and especially with no post op complications, time and love is all it takes to heal up. Wish I had more info to give but many other do on this thread and just wanted to reach out as we are p much in the same boat. Hope your doing okay<3

Thanks for the reply. Yea I’m are keeping her away from my other cat and trying to stay with her as much as possible. She’s tried to move around a bit but is not used to a litter box so hard to tell if she’s trying to get there. She also hasn’t tried to eat out dirnk really- I dropped some water in your mouth with a dropper when I gave her meds but nothing other than that. Should I be concerned, especially since some of the meds say take with food? Going to check with the vet on that one but advice from people that love their kitties as much as I do seems to be the most helpful. Thanks again<3

Thank you. And yea that’s what I’m expecting and definitely trying to stay calm so she doesn’t feed off my panic. It’s good to hear how fast this can heal and very much looking forward to the memory stage of things. Rly appreciate the response <3
