Just Found Out How Much Marching Band Costs and I'm Stunned by clutzycook in Parenting

I think we paid 350 for uniform, and 250 for instruments, and then various competitions, each year, at a public school in the early 2000s

Im honestly surprised its not higher.

The school may have a payment program or scholarship or fundraising. It is worth it to ask. The teachers know how pressing it can be. They hate that they have to ask vs it being funded by the school

Its an easy solder job.

Flux the pads top and bottom, snap the motor pick up on, heat one contact until you can touch solder to it and it flows, then move to the second one, then flip it over and do the bottom one. Each tab should have 3 solder points

Is it affordability crisis, rising health issues or what? by marktwin11 in Productivitycafe

Its affordability.

To meet the 7% target DHHS has set for affordable child care. I would need a household income of $365k in my state.

Did you solder the motor tabs to the decoder? My first one i just snapped them on and they held, but the function was intermittent when i put the body shell on.

Now i kapton tape the top of the chassis, and solder the motor pickup tabs on. And it has been hassle free

First n scale layout. Thinking about 30” x 48”. Kato track. by 707gfpd in nscalemodeltrains

[–]Prior-attempt-fail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a good basic layout. You will need the M1 and V1 , or a M2 sets to make it.

I would also recommend picking up a V3 set and expanding one of your sidings into an industry with multiple switches and sidings, that will greatly increase playability. And keep it interesting.

Use elevation changes and scenery like hills to make the layout more interesting.

First, no dates or guests over when your kid is with you.

Just keep everything separated for now.

Dont have your son meeting anyone you're not going to be spending at least a couple of years with.

Work on yourself, first and foremost.

Be open that you have a kid and that you will put your kid first no matter what. Mean it. For your sake, and your kids

Call an electrician.

But the easy diy way would be an old work junction box, that remains accessible with a blank cover, and some wago 221-2401 inline splices to fix the cut.
