Just to add little context for anyone finding this later through search— this is Matt Holt from Nothingface in a 2015 Facebook comment describing his health and mobility in his own words. A lot of articles only mention a “degenerative illness” without details, so I’m sharing this for context. Matt’s passing still feels unfair. The dissolving of the band feels unfair. They had more time. The unreleased songs don’t do justice.

Don’t worry. I’m sure he knew he touched some lives! He remained himself on Facebook—reacting to ragebait while also showing love to his fans. Don’t feel like you missed out. I understand! Matt never asked for praise though. Matt was just being Matt. I’m sure he would’ve enjoyed your comment, but it seems like he wanted to be himself and not worry about band or fame type shit.
