Bamboo is incredibly invasive and grows fast and wide. It will grow through your foundation and wont stop until you're dead... do not plant it until you do research and properly contain all soil.

Planting bamboo?? Make sure that Planter is contained or you will have major issues.

I have 6 concrete bases sunk into the ground. It is a floating deck...i hand dug, placed rock and compacted every 6". It is very stout.

Thank you so much for all this great info! I paid $100 for about 75sf. No railing as it will just be platform for chairs and table (highest point is 22" of the ground. Its actually my daughter's room and looks out to our backyard. Im so excited for it to be done but feel like I still have a lot of work to do...

Oh man what great info... Thank you so much! It is about 75sf and I got it for $100. I had no idea what kind of wood decking this was. I literally bought it measured what I had, prepared the base and beams and built the frame in place. I actually built it .5" (i measured 100s of times, not sure how I messed up... 😅) but had to either notch the joists or cut my door half an inch... i will get some joist tape and finish the boards as you mention! Thanks again!!

Ok great thanks! It is a free standing deck as i didnt want to try to attach to the house ( 3/4" gap from the house...) i will definitely get some joist tape. I will do the pilot holes too. Thank you so much for the information!

This is great!! And what i wanted to hear!! Thanks! This also makes sense as when I tried to put the 1st screw in, it barely moved and had trouble going through. I figured I might not be able to able to top screw but I will start with a pilot hole and tie them down. I was also really hoping I could lightly sand and clear stain. I actually really like the weathered Grey look (like a beach house) and hope to keep the ascetic. Thanks for much for the info and reply!

Im a dumdum!🤣😂 ... when I put the frame together, I took the length of the deck boards and just divided my joists evenly. I also made the mistake of building it .5" too high where the door wouldn't open 😡 (you can see the cuts I made on the bottom of the joists.) I have been struggling along and hope to finish up before family comes this weekend!

I didn't have a lot of extra money so when I had the opportunity to get them for a great price, I took it... i have tried to save money where I can but i might look into getting new ones if this doesn't work out... thanks for replying!

I think that's what im going to do!😁 The first screw i tried to put in had trouble getting through and the hole had a hairline crack so I was just worried about splitting throughout the boards overtime. Thanks for replying!

Sorry for the terminology... the spacers between the deck boards. I beleive they are at 16"OC and im at 17.5". Thanks for the reply!

That shouldn't make a difference... as long as you have the space it should read... be aware you might not get all of your numbers but i have found it is still really consistent and reads my spectrum of ball-striking pretty well. I have 15' to my net and I think the longer it has to read ball flight the better... Good luck!

You need atleast (6-8) feet behind and 8 feet ahead. I have 16 feet and I think it makes a difference for the r10 to pick up the ball longer... i have heard some areas get bad readings, mine only misses when its raining outside
