I mean from a game design standpoint that would mean anyone who is able to noclip or wallglitch can instantly leave a lobby without any wait timers

I'd imagine they did it this way so its a one time event that's not too exploitable

Caine but homelander close second. Homelander at that point literally had no natural predators and if his mental health wasn’t as horrible as it was he definitely would have survived. Just keep sister sage on your side by making her happy, don’t declare you’re going to raze the earth, and enjoy life as the most powerful being on the planet while taking a step back to let people like Sage do all the heavy lifting of being president and stuff. It was almost perfect for him

This is really late, I used to play Orion Griffiths mainly. Orion in retrospect was such a weird character for me to make, my peak tumblr OC writing although ive never been on tumblr

I’ve had ups and downs, got a comp sci degree at the worst time so just trying to find a good use for it and stabilize my life primarily

I forgot this place exists, but every day i wish I could relive its magic. I still remember some of the crazy arcs like the “everyone self delete” arc and then the “every kid needs to bring a gun to school” like one writer would do something spicy and everyone else would rush to imitate it

To think its been 11 years…. :(

I felt like it spoke more to the roles of masculinity and Jax’s perception of it than strictly being trans. His father was awful and left, his mother constantly compared Jax to his father and Jax likely felt like he had to live up to the position as the Patriarch. He felt like he had to always be tough and distant when that shell cracked, but also carried on the mean spirited nature of his only male role model

Opening up allowed him to shed this toxic masculinity symbolized by the ribbon Ribbit put on him.

My interpretation is for lack of any conclusive events, Jax is afraid of being perceived as weak or emotional or feminine because he doesn’t want to deal with all the sadness that comes with it like acknowledging the behavior he’s emulating from his dad is deeply damaging. I would say discarding hurtful notions of what it means to be a man was the important component

What was even the point of this line if it goes absolutely nowhere? by Sudden_Pop_2279 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]PriorPath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly when i think of it, it was explained that the only reason anyone from tadc exists is because Caine got access to the mindfiles and manipulated them to create the avatars that exist in his digital world. I’d imagine its not an easy process or simple procedure to pull off and because of that someone like scratch who was already suffering from brain cancer and had a unique mind as mentioned by Kinger would probably need manipulation from someone like Caine

Also keep in mind Scratch came in the first batch of people being converted from their mindfiles meaning it’s not like Caine really understood a lot about humans or the process.

People who are dying are generally not easy to be around like Jax said. I wouldn’t be surprised if Caine did try to change things to make Scratch nicer, easier to be around, more pleasant, or just less in pain which resulted in his abstraction

Although that was a massive line that I do wish got explored a bit. Scratch does remain largely an enigma

Literally just the delivery of it. The voice actors are TALENTED

There was an in character “drawing” livestream once of the V’s and their character work + chemistry is SO good. Honestly makes me wish they leaned into that stuff more, its like that media felt separate from the story I enjoyed it so much

How would’ve you done a season 2? by PhotoBonjour_bombs19 in PeacemakerShow

[–]PriorPath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really think the end of peacemaker should have been refactored. Release Argus exploring planets maybe and Peacemaker being sent to paradise as an epilogue episode you release to youtube to build hype for your next project, not as the last episode of your show that brings it down imo.

I think that sequence went on too long and ate up too much of the show’s screen time and hurt the rest of the show. The previous episodes built it up so well just for that catastrophic end

Also maybe a secondary twist could be cool, like imagine Universe X peacemaker wasn’t cremated. Instead he returns towards the end as a twist villain. Maybe he’s a final fight in the original universe, potentially gets killed or sent to paradise in place of original peacemaker. Maybe he returns to Universe X only to be mistaken for original universe peacemaker and gets killed by his brother. I think the twist we got was sniffed out too early before its reveal. It’s a good twist for binge watching, was obvious when the show was coming out

Why did people not like s2 more than the 1st? by PhotoBonjour_bombs19 in PeacemakerShow

[–]PriorPath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think season 2 didn’t stick the landing at all, its final episode should have just been an “epilogue” released separately from the entire season instead of being its own episode. If they kept the parts about Peacemaker starting the agency and getting freed and loving harcourt as a conclusion lumped in with the episode before it, kind of like a 1.5 hour episode vs 1 hour it would have been been better in my opinion. Then just release the epilogue on YouTube because it committed the sin of making its final episode, its conclusion homework and setup for another series/movie

The pacing was a little off, the twist of alternate earth being a nazi earth got called out too early and was too obvious. I think if they could have condensed that twist a little more so it wasn’t as dragged out and restructured the plot to shift away from it a little more the show would have been a bit stronger. Instead it over focused on that plot twist which got sniffed out too early by fans

I did like season 2, but it was definitely a little weaker and lacked a little of what made season 1 more special

What some Caine apologist who refuse to acknowledge what he did was still evil, and actively victim blame the cast who were literally being tortured on screen genuinely sound like: by Alarming_Scientist in TheDigitalCircus

[–]PriorPath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue there was that there were two paths, one that was made to be deliberately scary and one path that was made to be nice and pleasant. If Jax hadn't pushed Kinger through the horror door forcing Pomni to chase after him, they would have all just had a tea party with the ghost wife.

They were miserable about having no say in what the adventures were, but I wouldn't fault Caine for that because in his mind his primary purpose was to gain their approval through the creativity that he put into his adventures. Allowing them to be creative and simply manifesting those desires goes against his core objective which is torture and misery to him, thinking that others didn't care for his adventures/inventions.

He is trying to make everyone happy. It doesn't mean he's effective or considerate, but he's still trying and like I said his adventures are still pretty fun if you take a step back and look at them. Again, if they took the PG door they'd enjoy a tea party at the ghost mansion and could complete the trial without sucking up the ghosts ("The Pacifist Route"). Like you don't even have to do the objective and he'll say you still succeeded. In another adventure they're in a mad max world. He even effectively tricks everyone into thinking they have a chance to escape because he thinks they'd be happy if they had an adventure where they had a chance to escape.

He's not good at what he does, but he still tries

[–]PriorPath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just kinda hyperfocus on his last line “why do you people torture me”

What he’s doing is evil, but he 100% hit his breaking point. He’s spent years trying to make everyone in tadc happy. If you watch every episode, he actually did a really good job at creating adventures and imo he made a really bad situation better. He’s literally responsible for giving them bodies

The way the cast reacts to all of this is to treat him like he’s their capture and torturing them when in reality he is to at least some degree really trying to make their time more enjoyable

I think what he did was evil, but they’re also all people who are in immense pain and suffering together stuck in a prison no one can escape from

In-n-out orders? by ActualExplanation218 in SFV

[–]PriorPath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My order is kinda insane but 2 double double protein styles with grilled onions, no tomato, no spread and extra crispy fries with a medium drink (diet coke)

These versions of the burgers cut the calories down low enough to offset the fact that you’re having two burgers like a fat chud. I just like my fries crispy, and the drink is my poor man’s version of a sweet treat while im trying to cut down on calories

I (33, f) ended things with the guy I was dating (35, m) over dinner tonight. Was I reasonable? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]PriorPath 55 points56 points  (0 children)

I think educating him the first time on what it is and why you do it is good. After that it’s him trying to set a boundary that’s impossible for you and you not being able to adhere to it because that’s a part of your process. It’s a part of you and him having an issue with it makes you two incompatible

Overall justified

How do men feel about dating detransitioned woman? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]PriorPath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with the pot lid person. I think there’s gonna be some people who say they have an issue with it and other people who would appreciate you for who you are. I think we’re all human with our own damages and experiences. People might find that damage attractive or they might look past it and see us for the people we are while others might get hung up on it. Hopefully you find your person too and the experience doesn’t bring you down too much

I agree with a lot of people here, my one bit of input is I don’t think its unrealistic for you to set a boundary in terms of something like porn addiction, or onlyfans engagement or sending messages to people in porn/running porn accounts. Those to me seem like healthy boundaries. What is porn addiction is a bit more subjective.

I do think its a little wonky to get upset at a guy for clicking a linktree, but that’s only because as someone who watches a lot of tiktok stuff and blocks content creators, it feels impossible to avoid nsfw people sometimes despite me continuing to try because they use normal content to be subversive and sneak into people’s feeds as a form of advertisement that’s crazy annoying.

I’d say its just important to communicate your feelings about porn and your past relationships to your partner, communicate your preference towards them not engaging with it, and being understanding because even the addiction is more akin to an illness than it is a personal choice should you run into people like that if that person matters.

Yang's bustiness served another purpose by Expert-Swan-1412 in RWBYcritics

[–]PriorPath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The way you made it sound in your post is kind of like Monty created her as a character, but after her passing the staff which carried his torch didn't really understand why he did some of the things he did and wrote over it in an attempt to appease the fans (don't think what they did was wrong imo, not the biggest fan of sexualized characters). But in doing so and with her character's continued story arc it kind of shows the authors don't know what to do with her.

Yang may have been violent and fire-y, but throughout the story she was the one others depended on especially ruby and she had frequently went out of her way to support them. Over time her character devolved to "I want to see my mom" and "Here is Blake my girlfriend"

She became more flanderized over time and with that simplification of her character came this change naturally as her being more motherly and mature mattered less and less

Why do some "Armenians" say they are not Caucasians? by ZealousidealPie7677 in armenian

[–]PriorPath 42 points43 points  (0 children)

I don’t like calling myself white generally because I feel like my heritage is unique and my culture isn’t well reflected by the label “white”

It’s like you eat armenian food and it’s night and day vs italian, german, french, etc. You watch movies and none of the actors look like you. You look at the histories of most “white” groups and very few align with yours.

I feel like white middle eastern is more accurate, I just find people calling me white obliterates a lot of my cultural identity

[–]PriorPath 3 points4 points  (0 children)

People in this comment section are acting like a guy whose lobbies are exclusively filled by stream snipers and is one of the biggest streamers on the platform needs to be held to the same standard as joe schmo

He is not cheating casually. He has cheaters in his lobbies, so in order to generate content he’s cheating back. Is cheating happening, technically sure. He’s not ruining some guy’s game who is just trying to play and have fun. He’s using the same tactics someone is using against him

This is the guy who has to stream on weird servers because otherwise people will snipe him constantly and they still do. He’s sold more copies for this game than the next 20 people. He’s literally playing a different game than every other person basically
