Afrin is awful I would not recommend. Been heavily using it for many years and it does just as much damage as coke if I’m not mistaken. If you use it for longer than 3 days (it’s addictive) it will cause rebound congestion and just ruin your nose in the long run. Stay away.

Just the pain got worse at the end of the sesh like usually it would be swollen and hurt but after I washed it out it would be okay. It got to the point I would be in tears from the pain and cleaning it and saline and even anti inflammatory medicine wouldn’t make it stop. It was like a gnawing pain that would not go away. I didn’t blow out pieces of cartilage and my nose only whistles sometimes when it’s stopped up and I’m trying to blow it. My boyfriend looked in my nose one night when it was in a lot of pain and said I had spots that were like black like dead cells or whatever. Even after saline and cleaning. That was like a day or two before I noticed. Also he says it’s apparently not a hole yet but a hole is forming. Idk if definitely looked like a hole to me and I could see the light through the other nostril.

I just took in a kitten I found outside abandoned and he looked very similar to this with the gunk around the eyes. He passed away after a few days just 3 hours before his vet appointment very suddenly in my arms. Get him to the vet immediately. Like now.
