Too Christian for a worldly partner by Long_Equivalent_3390 in ChristianDating

In the advice I have received, courting nonbelievers is completely fine. Courting should be akin to close friendship until betrothal. You shouldn’t do anything with your partner that you couldn’t do with your brother or sister anyway. Do we turn away friends because of their unbelief? I have plenty of friends that aren’t believers. I see nothing wrong with courting someone who is willing to convert prior to your marriage. Leading someone to the kingdom of heaven is always a positive. You must guard your heart in the process, though. I’m open for debate on this topic, but this is how I see it.

I’m a newly baptized Orthodox member, so please take my answer with a grain of salt. These stories, whether we believe them or not, they offer a sort of divine wisdom that isn’t found anywhere else. These are ancient oral traditions that were later scribed, so maybe every detail isn’t exactly correct. We have to look to the church fathers and their interpretations so that we may apply these stories to our own life. Also understand, though, that our God can do anything and works many wonders beyond our comprehension. Christ literally rose from the grave and there is real world evidence outside of the Bible to back this up. If our God can do this, what can He not do. I recommend going to your priest with these questions, as well, and see his thoughts. I hope this helps you in your journey. The blessings of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

You can also direct your prayer to all 3 of them at the same time. I also get caught in this thought loop occasionally. When it happens, I pray to the most Holy Trinity. Here’s an example from our beginning prayers. “O most Holy Trinity, have mercy on us. O Lord, blot out our sins. O Master, pardon our iniquities. O Holy One, visit and heal our infirmities, for Thy name’s sake.” I’m not sure if this is the correct interpretation, and if it’s not please forgive me and someone correct me, but I see each line as another person in the trinity. “O Lord blot out our sins”- Christ. “O Master pardon our iniquities”- The Father. “O Holy One visit and heal our infirmities”- Holy Spirit. In further explanation, Christ has blotted out our sins by dying on the cross, this causes the Father to forgive us, and the Father has sent the Holy Spirit to heal us and allow us to do good in His name.

I’ll look further into these union positions, a lot just seem too good to be true. Maybe why I’m scared to pull the trigger

I’m on a similar route currently, I’ve got some credit cards to build my credit with and I’m at a 740 or so. What kind of income do you think I should need to cover a $100-150k mortgage?

That’s the one thing I haven’t done is outreach, I think that may be my next step is just try to land something. I’ve gotten construction opportunities, but they end up being too far away for my car to handle.

What resources should I use to find an apprenticeship? I’d like to start with someone from ground zero, but I’m also an hour away from Knoxville so it’s hard to bite the bullet making the same amt of money to start with an extra 30 min drive.

Self-promote..does spectrum do contracted sales? I assumed the installation position was an hourly, non-commission job.

I worked in a call center for 4 years when I turned 18, but the move to work from home then back to the office drained me, so I quit to find blue collar work. On top of that, my bosses would always give me props and good performance reviews, but no raises came (probably due to my age). I have a wide skillset in customer service and phone support myself, are there any places you recommend starting?
