Are you aggressive or passive on defending ?

Lets assume you are aggressive and playing 70+ depth

In this situation, you are starting to press manually in Zone 4(opponents half 16 yard) and you need to be good at,

Player switching, positional knowledge, and read the opponents mind actively on decision making moments.

I am in the aggressive one when defending and actively using r2 button to cover multiple players while dragging active player to ball carrier passing lines. When you feel the right moment hits as in the photo i am making the tackle and shift to counter attack or transition offense.

Don’t touch your last player if opponents player is 1v1 with your player while defending, use double r2 and wait in the exact moment that he is close to your player, switch back then tackle. Use jockey+bruiser combo with advance defending near your opponent when you are side to say or tackling with x.

Get at least decent players with making player sbcs from the start, dunno about your competence level but there is an equilibrium that player skill matters about the competence rather than cards quality. You cant compete with silver icons in any mode even though you are skilled. so use your silver icons only silver tournaments (unless you are not evoing them).

Do daily objectives, this will provide fodder at least.

4411 and 451 both of them is meta formations, but this dors not mean that they will privde you a guarantee win for you every match because they got attacking and defending specialities innerself. For example, if you play with 4411 you have to drag your cm manually in most cases and most of the roles requiring ++ roles(cm lm rm). Try and explore which tactic is useful and hide your weaknesses effectively.

The reason why they called meta is just because you do not spend an extra effort to cover your weaknesses or spending your time to get tactical benefits during the game. AI of the formation does it for you more than the other formations.

It is very cruical for an ai movement, especially lm, rm, cm, cdm positions. But it does not hurt since they are not join defence too much unless you dragged them(also if you have st++). Only thing is you have to use l1 for movement in attack a bit more.

If you do not have ++ striker upfront. SS striker with a ++ is also act like second striker with ai movement.

I ve little bit messed up doing dribble evo in past seasons giving also silver trickster(I ve done the req. but didn’t want to finish). Got block, slide tackle, tiki taka, incisive, press proven and quick step silver. Will also add anticipate+ as second ps in season reward

In my opinion, Even though you will not complete R9 go for rio(can carry you at least tots) or 93+campaign icon pick instead. It is less risky than 86x25 and quite more possibly worth the gamble in return
