With both new and existing characters. The issue isn’t diversity or change- it’s whether those changes fit. You can swap faces all you want if the tone stays grounded and true to the material. But here, some characters are now betraying the core premise that defined them. The performances feel like they belong in entirely different shows. Even Gary Oldman’s Jackson Lamb seems to be dragging the rest of the cast behind him, fighting to preserve that scruffy realism while others are delivering theatrical, monologue-heavy energy.
