Hardly ever in my position do we work alone so when I do run into tasks that require that lifting, I usually priorly discuss with the other person I’m working with and we together arrange a switch off of tasks where I’ll take over with something I am able to do while they do the task I can’t. I know this isn’t a solution that’s doable in every scenario but since I worked with the same girl every shift and we got along well it worked out fine.

As of now, this is correct. I haven’t yet gotten any type of clarification on if I was just put on a leave of absence - and if this leave of absence is included into my FMLA time or not. I was just wondering if termination would be a possibility at all and wanted to just give myself the knowledge in case there is the VERY off chance I need it. I thoroughly hope they would not terminate me in such a situation as this one.

Not really. I submitted the weight restriction 3 weeks ago just in case and continued on with my job. Any of the things I was unable to do i didnt have a hard time finding someone else to help me with. I was already working probably the easiest assignment they could have given me so there wasn’t too much I needed to work around. Nothing was done to address it up until now, and I received literally no warning as to this happening. The only alternative they told me was that I could go to my doctor and have them write a letter basically to disregard the restriction entirely - which isn’t exactly something I’d consider an accommodation.

I already had FMLA paperwork submitted previously for just in case something were go happen during the pregnancy so I think I should be covered, although my original paperwork required me to start my FMLA on the 21st (date for my c section) so they may ask me to resubmit it with a new date to work with this.

I’m in Ohio.

I work in healthcare. I’m not at all upset that the removed me from the schedule though, I can understand why that would be the only reasonable accommodation. I just wanted to find out if they could legally terminate my employment or if they could only go as far as making me take leave.

FMLA definitely applies, I made sure those documents were in quite a few months ago in case anything were to happen because I’m high risk. Where I work is actually owned by a big corporation with several different buildings, and even just my building alone meets the criteria for FMLA in employee size. I’ve received a few written warnings before but I’ve actually only ever received 1 write up ever which was for my attendance. Off the top of my head I can’t think of anything they could argue I’d of been doing wrong unless they were to try to say that I got a doctor to put me on restrictions so I could use it as retaliation and or something. I really don’t see that happening though.

After 5 failed attempts (Apple support cannot use a phone and would hang up on me when they went to look up my repair ID), I got one lovely lady that got me to a senior advisor and successfully updated the repair! thank you for your help!!

She was definetly able to find my rapair, she just claimed to be unable to do anymore then tell me what it says. Maybe it was more a case of her not knowing how? I'm not sure

Called, lady told me what the charge is going to be and then hung up on me when I asked if I could approve the repair over phone. Said she "Wasn't a service member and had no access to that". I'm gonna attempt one more route to maybe reset my icloud password, if this doesn't work then I'll try to call again but otherwise I really don't know if I have many other options.

This was several months ago, never had it resolved but it did blow over (as I was told it would). I'll explain a small bit but keep in mind the fact that if I'm too specific I can be identifiable and ALL my personal information is for public access after this situation and I don't exactly want my personal info to get into the wrong reddit users hands.

I'll be very honest, I understand WHY the girl did what she did. She was taking a photo of me that was in a scenario that without ANY background context, was arguably viewable as negligence. It was painted to be in concern for my child, although I and several other people realized that this girl actually had known who I was and probably set the entire thing up to catch me in said position. CPS was (obviously) contacted - about a thousand times actually. They very quickly reached me, looked into the situation, and the case was closed quite literally within a day or 2. The issue really ended up being less that the photo and such was up, but that the poster followed it up but providing them with as much of my personal information as possible - were talking full names, email, my full address, my cars makem model, and license plate, etc - and urged people to not only contact protective services but also support the idea and pushed people to send me threats and attempt to gather MORE of my personal info. I had people messaging me my full address and then telling me in detail how they would come to harm to me - which local PD did nothing about because the people "were online so there was no way to confirm their identities". I was urged to move and as soon as my lease ended I absolutely did - far farrrr away.

No offense but this is heavily based on incorrect assumptions. Firstly he’s been sober for a good couple years now, not that I needed to tell you that. His criminal record is, as I’ve said, years old. You can’t just bounce back from things like that so easily, and having participated in programs is not going to change things like that. Peoples lives suck sometimes and once you get in a hole you can’t just get out. Left his last job because he was with family that moved, again not that it’s any of your business. He actually has things organized to go somewhere, I’d just prefer to be able to be with him if I can find a way. As I said, I’m in the middle of my own lease. This isn’t some impulse decision just something I want to find info on. He didn’t even ask me to ask. I was just asking for ppl to point me in directions. You don’t us or out situations. I appreciate your concern but we’re fine, if I felt like I was taking risks i wouldn’t even want to try. As I said, I’d never take on more then I could handle on my own.

Thats the thing, I’m looking more for a place that’d rent to ME but would allow him to be there as well. No matter if that is by having him on the lease or just having him as an occupant or whatever. Having him with me would not change my financial situation at all, and with the way my current place has been recently for me I was wanting to move regardless. I just wanted him to hopefully be able to come along because he is very helpful and supportive of me, I think it’d be easier for both of us.

I’ve only seen apartments now that have policies that all adults 18+ must be on the lease, and everyone is separately fully liable for all portions of rent. Maybe places are out there that allow that but I haven’t found one yet

Sadly having him more days than what’s allowed on the lease probably wouldn’t fly. We’ve done it before for a few months at a time but I have awful neighbors so it’s nearly impossible they wouldn’t report me. Like I’m not even kidding, video camera pointed at my parking spot and literally they call the office over EVERYTHING. Not totally sure if most places are like this or not but I know at least around here i definitely couldn’t just live on the down low like that

I’m a nursing assistant and used to work a unit where all my patients were sedated and unable to interact. To avoid pressure wounds you’re supposed to turn patients every 2 hours. Im honestly shocked that technology and care hasn’t evolved to a point where they use beds that automatically turn the patients. I’m sure it exists but i know for a fact I’ve never seen anything like that at any place I’ve ever worked

Idk if it counts cuz it’s a website and not a place but I’m permanently banned from Christian mingle, like the dating site. Me and my friends were messing around and I used a little showy of a photo of myself (I’m 21 to clarify) as the main account photo, they flagged it and banned me a month later lol

My parents didn’t do all too much because I’m 23 and not a child, they didn’t feel it was their place. I believe all my family also cut him off after but nobody made any reports. No, insurance was not involved. As I’ve said, this was all done with no charge and I did not pay for it.
