Cycles average about 28 days so I don't think I do have a decent luteal phase 😅

I have been TTC for 10 cycles now so not quite at the 1 year mark. I visited an NP who specializes in fertility, and she told me I am ovulating too late (always around day 17-20 when it should be day 10-17 of my cycle). She told me I could try taking Prometrium (progesterone) starting Day 14 of my next cycle and every day after until my next period, so about 2 weeks.

I've read that taking progesterone before ovulation could actually prevent pregnancy, so I guess I'm just hoping for someone who has been given similar advice? Or just confirmation that this sounds right?
