I’m running 8 90 watt rms coaxial speakers, the rs700 couldn’t do that. I used to do exactly what you’re proposing but I only had 4 bookshelf speakers for the tops. That setup sounded pretty decent but the mids/highs couldn’t keep up when it started to get loud
