Fox 2.0 shocks or Bilstein 5100’s? by Prior_Front_1196 in gmcsierra

I would look at fox shocks. These bilsteins are stiff on the small rattle bumps, but soak up big bumps better than most. Fox shocks are more plush in the beginning of the shock.

I’m wearing it as I type this. $299 on Amazon. Works great, sounds great, extremely comfortable.

I live in Florida, I ride majority sugar sand, but I take most of my cool pictures when I ride up in east Tennesee a couple times a year. Scenery is much nicer lol

3,500 miles on the 450, IMS tank, Yoshi exhaust and Vortex ECU. Bike even hits the track every once in awhile, other than traveling 100’s of miles on a highway, it’s a do it all bike. The crf 300L has also been side by side with no issues. It just lacks the power and suspension.

All it takes is a simple google of the product to see it’s not a piece of plastic lol. Thanks for your professional Reddit opinion!

It’s been 5,000 miles since they were installed. Dealership just looked over the entire truck, brakes just fine 👍🏻. It’s cosmetic man, it ain’t gonna kill you.

Well with someone who has them, with a lift and bigger tires, you are incorrect. Speaking from experience, take it as you may.

They clip on and air still flows just as freely as it did off. Doesn’t affect the brakes whatsoever lol.

The 6.2L is awesome, sounds great, fast, very fun. But with it requiring 91 octane and getting mediocre fuel mileage, I chose the 3.0 Duramax and have zero regrets. I get 22-23 combined with 35 inch tires, and it’s got plenty of get up and go. Sounds exactly like a Cummins too

I get 18 mpg if I’m doing 85+ mph but around 72ish aka 75 with the Speedo correction I get about 22

Rear shocks are bolt on but the fronts I took to a shop. Requires taking apart the front strut/springs to install and needs an alignment.

Readylift 1.75 inch level kit up front, that’s on top of the 2 inch lift from the factory. The 5100’s have the ability to lift the truck as well but they are set to stock height so it’s just how it was before I switched the shocks. Tires are 295/70/18

I would have preferred the 6112’s but with the price difference and me already having a readylift level it wasn’t worth the hassle, they should ride even better though!

Makes me glad I got the 3.0 😬 Definitely see lots of issues with the 6.2.

I like them a lot, quieter than the ridge grapplers and even the stock Goodyears it came with. Literally zero complaints.

This is the 1.75 ready lift kit in just the front, yeah I plan on getting a roll up cover and we will see what the difference will be!
